POPSDoes Death Exist? New Theory Says 'No' This was clear with the death of my sister Christine. After viewing her body at the hospital, I went out to speak with family members. Christine's husband - Ed - started to sob uncontrollably. For a few moments I felt like I was transcending the provincialism of time. I thought about the 20-watts of energy, and about experiments that show a single particle can pass through two holes at the same time. I could not dismiss the conclusion: Christine was both alive and dead, outside of time.

POPSCertified Pet Therapy: Dogs visiting the sick and injured at hospitals +PICS She said of Richelle: "That was the happiest I've seen her." I've seen one dog at a hospital near my home, visiting the cancer center, which got me hunting for articles. The elderly patients love the visits just as much as the kids. It's a remarkable thing what these pets do for the patients. Such a great idea, cost very little -. a win situation any way you look at it.

POPSWhat social media means to me... This is an excerpt from a piece I just wrote (it continues at the source). I was inspired to write it after looking at a series of photos labeled "The Decade in Pictures" that made me feel very sad about this past decade. After looking at them my only thought was that hopefully we are all so fed up with the way things have been that we can rally together to bring about a better decade ahead. The potential impact of social media gives me great hope! Oh, and i didn't realize that written posts didn't make their way into the Amplify Newsfeed of Public Timeline...i ought to rethink that :)

POPSWhat is Life? Kurt Vonnegut's description of an enormous grinning Cheshire Cat as lord of the universe always cheers me up.

POPSCheck out what I just bought...no check out what i just bought!! If this doesn't epitomize our consumption driven society, then i don't know what does. I don't typically root against anyone, but i really really hope this service doesn't take off. The idea of a society that's currently overwhelmed with debt and growing unemployment embracing a social network that's all about what we're buying just doesn't sit well with me.
