POPSEarth could seed Titan with life Dr Gladman's team calculated that up to 20 terrestrial rocks from a large impact on Earth would reach Titan. These would strike Titan's upper atmosphere at 10-15 km/s. At this velocity, the cruise down to the surface might be comfortable enough for microbes to survive the journey. But the news was more bleak for Europa. By contrast with the handful that hit Titan, about 100 terrestrial meteoroids hit the icy moon. "It's frustrating if you're a microbe that's been wandering the Universe for a million years to then die striking the surface of Europa," Dr Gladman mused.Asked after his presentation by one scientist whether he thought microbes would be able to survive Titan's freezing temperatures, Dr Gladman answered: "That's for you people to decide, I'm just the pizza delivery boy."

POPSAncient Maya sacrificed boys not virgin girls "It was thought that the gods preferred small things and especially the rain god had four helpers that were represented as tiny people," said de Anda. "So the children were offered as a way to directly communicate with Chaac," he said Archeologists previously believed young female virgins were sacrificed because the remains, which span from around 850 AD until the Spanish colonization, were often found adorned with jade jewelry. It is difficult to determine the sex of skeletons before they are fully matured, said de Anda, but he believes cultural evidence from Mayan mythology would suggest the young victims were actually male

POPSCIA Drug-Running vs. the Phony War on Drugs If there really was a "war on drugs" by U.S. government it would necessitate targeting covert ops by the CIA and other rogue operations. In addition to this article please recall that under the Taliban all poppy production was banned and punished in Afghanistan, but is now again a booming agricultural product since Afghanistan was "liberated" from those kind of laws. The U.S. government clearly says one thing to the American people (using tax dollars for Ad Council advertising too) while doing another behind their backs, even aiding and abetting the trafficking and social degeneracy of the drugs, for profit of course.

POPSFrat-boy ritualism and the ancient Maya Dude, check this out! The more things change, the more they stay the same: rich kids on the Yucatan drinking until they puke: apparently this was a strong tradition even before the advent of "Spring Break." In all seriousness, most of the hippies who like to talk about "spiritual power zones" of the ancient world, and the serene wisdom of the Maya know nothing of what they are talking about. It looks to me like a Mayan religious leader probably had more in common with John Belushi than Ghandi.
