POPSPrecious Lord The origin of the song Precious Lord and history in the life of the writer. I was amazed to hear this very interesting story of Tommy Dorsey. A man whose words have impacted my life with the song Amen. I had no idea he had wrote Precious Lord. I think Elvis did a remake of this song.

POPSA Bird Without Wings...Damian McGinty A Bird Without Wings Chorus: Like a bird without wings That longs to be flying, Like a motherless child Left lonely and crying. Like a song without words, Like a world without music, I wouldn't know what to do I'd be lost without you Watchin' over me. George sings harmonies here Verse 1: I get so lonely, when you're away I count every moment, I wait every day, Until you're home again And hug me so tight That's when I know Everything is alright. Chorus: Like a bird without wings That longs to be flying, Like a motherless child Left lonely and crying. Like a song without words Like a world without music, I wouldn't know what to do I'd be lost without you Watchin' over me. George sings harmonies here Verse 2: You're my guardian angel My light and my guide Your hand on my shoulder And you by my side. You make everything beautiful, You make me complete. POPSGore Vidal Quotes By the time a man gets to be presidential material, he's been bought ten times over. Gore Vidal Democracy is supposed to give you the feeling of choice, like Painkiller X and Painkiller Y. But they're both just aspirin. Gore Vidal Every time a friend succeeds, I die a little. Gore Vidal Fifty percent of people won't vote, and fifty percent don't read newspapers. I hope it's the same fifty percent. Gore Vidal Half of the American people have never read a newspaper. Half never voted for President. One hopes it is the same half. Gore Vidal I never miss a chance to have sex or appear on television. Gore Vidal I'm all for bringing back the birch, but only between consenting adults. Gore Vidal

POPSVelocity and Viscosity: what do these words mean in the realm of knowledge management and transfer Velocity - the speed with which knowledge moves through an organization. Viscosity - the richness or thickness of the knowledge transferred. I came across this short piece on the two critical aspects of knowledge and how each has its place. Coupled with the white paper by Dave Snowden that I read a while back, this post adds another layer to my thoughts/reflections on KM and the meaning of knowledge... "We enable you to capture tacit knowledge" has become such a glib phrase that I often wonder if we even know what we are talking about... Dave Snowden's paper sparked reflection with this post adding another note to it... POPSTook the words right out of my head! I wish this page were a parody, but I don't think it is. The ideas, I completely agree with. Really. The error-laden, offensive way it's all said undercuts the message--but it makes me laugh a lot, too! I would use this in class, but if I'm going to have to defend a seriously offensive piece of writing, I'd rather it be something worth the discussion..."Lords of Discipline" or "Deliverance," for instance. Which may happen....

POPSA Graceful And Gallant Man—Mr. President, I Salute You
Ronald Reagan helped America " and so America could help the world - because he rejected that approach. He believed, and he never stopped proclaiming, that the talents of a nation, not the wisdom of bureaucracy, forge a country’s greatness. Let our children grow tall " he urged - then they can reach out to raise others higher too. For our opponents, there are always a hundred reasons why the government must intervene to plan its children’s lives. For us, there’s one overwhelming reason why it shouldn’t " because men and women are born to be free. The world isn’t much used to hearing that kind of message now. We live in an era of sound bites and spin doctors, of false sentiment and real cynicism. That’s why just reading " or hearing as we shall - the words of Ronald Reagan is so refreshing. They remind us that men and women were born for high ideals and noble purposes. They remind us, too, that the world which so many now take for granted was won by struggle. ....

POPSNext in Line for a Bailout: Social Security Trend-turning event, spotted by Elle d'Coda, Thanks. Too bad I have had to re-clip it to include it in our classified collection. If only Amplifiers could elect to share categorisation and tagging functions .... That would be much more useful than "autogenerated tags" which simply repeat words in the text which are search-able anyway.
