POPSWisconsin Lawmakers Consider Lowering Hunting Age to 10 The way the law stands, the 10 year old is just with a parent or guardian, who is the one hunting. And once in a while, this youngster would be allowed to hold the firearm and aim and shoot it at the parents/ guardians discretion. I used to hunt with my father in situations similar to this and it never occurred to me to mishandle a firearm. His gun was always in the closet and I never touched it without his permission. Several reason I obeyed--he was my father and the gun wasn't mine to handle. Period.

POPSAnother reason I don't hunt! Hunter shot and killed. I knew this guy and he was truly a great guy. He's been going to school to be a doctor because as he said, doctors saved his life when he was just a couple years old. The worst part is that he just got married. A very sad day here in Wisconsin.

POPSMan offers no apology for shootings in Wisconsin woods I wish they would come up with a better way to deal with people like this. I feel like life in prison just isn't enough. I say, lock him in a room with no lights, strapped to a bed, and feed him through a tube. To me, that would be the ultimate punishment.

POPSOPENING OF GUN-DEER SEASON I never could shoot a living animal, but it's amazing how many people around here do. One day everything is normal, the next, all you see is blaze orange everywhere. Not complaining, just stating an interesting fact of living here in wisconsin. Besides, I love to eat the meat! Might sound weird, but try killing a cow and then eating it.
