onlinenomad
by onlinenomad  Yesterday 5:39 AM
http://myrealestateinvestmentsecrets.com There are different real estate investing for beginners options available for you if you are considering real estate as an investing means in the coming days. I don't see any reason why you will not consider it. Most wealthy people in the world have one way or another gained their massive wealth using real estate investing. Cursing Capitalism
clip-on-tie

The economy is still imploding, which is bad. I don’t know if Obama will do anything useful since our economy is based on capitalism and he hates capitalism. Also, our economy is in America and he hates that country. And anti-capitalism protesters are sexy hot, don't ya think?

The Lonely, Murderous Sons of Allah: A Psycho-analytic View
Antara
by Antara  1-1-2010    1
"Thus, the attention a son may receive from his mother (if she is not sent away, as Bin Laden’s mother was) does not make up for the missing and longed-for father. I have often thought that the way many Arab Muslim brothers brutally order their sisters around not only reflects how their fathers treat everyone, but is also a measure of their frustration about not being able to bond with their absent, lordly fathers. Thus, for a number of reasons, prison-style sexuality as well as homosexuality and homosexual pederasty is as rampant as it is forbidden in Arab and Muslim culture. Arab and Muslim sons desperately want their fathers. But their fathers are busy marrying other, younger wives, having other, newer children, and founding financial empires. They want their fathers to redeem them from the shameful fate of living in a world of mainly women–which they do when they are very young; and of course, they want their fathers for reasons of identity and inheritance. Rove: Champion of "traditional" divorce
ratilfar
by ratilfar  12-30-2009    2
Actually, this is Rove's second divorce. His first wife was "Valerie Wainright, a wealthy Houston woman from the Bush social circle, but the marriage could not withstand his consuming preoccupation with politics." They divorced after three years of marriage. So the one that was just terminated was Rove's second "traditional marriage" to end without death doing them part. His next traditional marriage will be to his third wife. Did I mention that Rove believes it's vital that our secular laws enforce precepts of "traditional marriages" and bar everything else?

Santa Claus 'buried in Ireland'
foxyarse
by foxyarse  12-21-2009    1
It is thought that the man who inspired the tradition of leaving presents under a Christmas tree, came from a wealthy family and he is believed to have given much of his fortune away. Early pilgrims visited the cathedral in Myra to pay their respects to the bishop. The bishop was originally buried at a local church in Myra, in modern day Turkey, when he died. Historians now believe his body was later moved to the abbey in Ireland by early crusaders. “St Nicholas Church is still standing and there is a slab on the ground which marks St Nicholas's grave,” he said. Few locals know of the much-loved figure’s link with Kilkenny. “It is an amazing story and yet very few people in Ireland know about St Nicholas's connection with this country,” he said. “Every year now we get visitors to the site, but still not that many.” i

Hospital Cleaners More Valuable Than Bankers
mcsmithblack
by mcsmithblack  12-21-2009    2
Interesting article. More below: "The study, "A Bit Rich" from the New Economics Foundation looked at six different types of British employees in aggregate, and found that: For a salary of between ?50,000 and ?12 million, top advertising executives destroy ?11 of value for every pound in value they generate. # or every ?1 hospital cleaners are paid, over ?10 in social value is generated. # For a salary of between ?75,000 and ?200,000 tax accountants destroy ?47 of value for every pound in value they generate. # For every ?1 of spent on waste recycling workers' wages, ?12 of value will be generated. Contrary to what we might expect, given the vociferous defence of the importance of wholesale banking to the UK economy, the City of London contributes only around 3 per cent of value added every year. Claims have been made about the trickle down effects of wealthy City bankers' spending in the economy but there is little real evidence to back this up"

How fair is fair trade?

To be honest I never felt right about the market manipulation aspect of fair trade. I know that large companies have used market manipulation to exploit poor farmers for years. However the cure for market manipulation isn't different manipulation, it is an attempt to really have a free market system.

Martha's Vineyard rich liberals: "No wind turbines, they spoil my ocean view"
clip-on-tie
by clip-on-tie  12-9-2009
The hypocrisy of the wealthy celebrity warmists whose lifestyle makes a daily carbon footprint as large as one of China’s coal-fired plants is astounding. They reject a wind farm in Nantucket bay because it will spoil their view. I could care less that Al Gore has made a bigger mess of the environment with his nine concerts than years of single toilet paper use by the entire population could compensate for. I am tired of hearing that it’s my responsibility to reduce this myth of global warming. I’m tired of being told I’m “addicted to oil,” when the country’s entire infrastructure is built on the automobile. These people are idiots. I'd like to throw them all into Nantucket Bay where they'll be Aquaman's problem instead.

We already have rationed, socialized healthcare

Climate Change Talks-Is it really all about money?
Lara Nieberding

Too bad the climate change talks aren't about making a serious improvement on the environment. Instead it is all about money. Problem with wealthy nations contributing money to poor nations is that money is too easily embezzled or redirected into other "programs" i.e. defense.

The Teachers' Unions that Stole Christmas
jatfla
by jatfla  12-8-2009    1
But I remember reading where a professor received a grant to study volcanic activity in S. America under the Stimulus Bill. It makes sense that the NEA and teachers' unions would not support anything that would send children to private schools. The public education system is in such rapid decline that no thinking person wants their child there and no politician or wealthy person who can afford a private school would do otherwise. And the public schools that DO have some good teachers are losing them because of the stress and work load.
