POPSCloward/Piven Strategy of Economic Recovery Obama adheres to the Saul Alinksy Rules for Radicals method of politics, which teaches the dark art of destroying political adversaries. However, that text reveals only one front in the radical left's war against America. The Cloward/Piven Strategy is another method employed by the radical Left to create and manage crisis. This strategy explains Rahm Emanuel's ominous statement, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste." The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement demands. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change.

POPSCost of War versus Health care reform with public option. Joe Lieberman (Democrat ?!?) and his Republicans' friends are talking about of the high costs of the health care reform with public option? It nauseates me. Stop the wars! Bring our troops at home! Use our money for the health care! Save lives! Remember Joe Lieberman? YOU VOTED FOR THE WAR.

POPSJoe Biden: the worrying rise of Barack Obama’s Mr Wrong The real difficulty with Mr Biden, however, is his judgment. On all the big questions, he has been – to put it politely – on the wrong side of history. The problem is that Mr Obama may now be listening to Mr Biden. Having supposedly already settled on an Afghan strategy in March, he is giving a very public impression of Hamlet as he wrings his hands and conducts endless White House debates – with details leaked to the press – about what to do.

POPSU.S.Troop Funds $2.6 Billion Taken From Guns and Ammunition For "Pet Projects"
Sen. Tom Coburn, Oklahoma Republican, called the transfer of funds from Pentagon operations and maintenance "a disgrace." "The Senate is putting favorable headlines back home above our men and women fighting on the front lines," he said in a statement. RELATED STORIES: • Michigan town lobbies for Gitmo transfers • Top Treasury posts stay empty in financial crisis • VA Dept. hospitals botched treatments Mr. Wheeler, who conducted the study, compared the Obama administration's requests for funds with the $636 billion spending bill that the Senate passed. He discovered that senators added $2.6 billion in pet projects while spending $4 billion less than the administration requested for fiscal 2010, which began Oct. 1. Mr. Wheeler said that senators took most of the cash for the projects from the "operations and maintenance" or O&M accounts. "These are the accounts that pay for troop training, repairs, spares and supplies for vehicles, weapons, ships and planes,

POPSWho’s Behind the White House War on Fox News?
Or about the joint White House-ABC News health care reform infomercial that aired earlier this summer. Some “opinion journalism” is more equal than others. Debates about the blurred lines between opinion and journalism are all well and good. But don’t the talking points-crafters in the Oval Office have something better to do than carp about the talking points they don’t like hearing on the one cable network that hasn’t been completely overrun by Obama sycophants? The corruptocrat affiliations of Obama’s communications team are illuminating. His press shop can’t rise above the fray because they’ve been entrenched in the Beltway fray for years. They can’t help themselves. Democratic media consultant Dunn’s claim to fame is her decade-long service as chief strategist for disgraced Democrat and former Senate Majority Leader-turned-health care lobbyist Tom Daschle. She was in the thick of his failed re-election campaign as Daschle asserted a bogus property-tax

POPSThe Democrat’s War on Oncologists and Cardiologists cardiology and 19% on radiation oncology. They’re targets only because of cost: Two-thirds of morbidity or mortality among Medicare patients owes to cancer or heart disease. … Cancer doctors get hit because the Administration believes specialists order too many MRIs and CT scans. Certain kinds of diagnostic imaging lose 24% under new assumptions that machines are in use 90% of the time, up from 50%. There isn’t a radiologist in America running an MRI 10.8 hours out of 12, unless he’s lining up patients on a conveyor belt. But claiming scanners are used far more often than they really are lets the Administration “score” spending cuts. It’s like doling out healthcare by mimicking progressive income taxation; tax the haves into oblivion so eventually all can go without. And this change is applied to all expensive equipment, not just MRIs and CTs, so payments for antitumor radiation therapy will fall by up to 44%.

POPSDemocrats Never Meant What They Said About Afghanistan
even when the president has declared: Al Qaeda and its allies " the terrorists who planned and supported the 9/11 attacks " are in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Multiple intelligence estimates have warned that al Qaeda is actively planning attacks on the United States homeland from its safe haven in Pakistan. And if the Afghan government falls to the Taliban " or allows al Qaeda to go unchallenged " that country will again be a base for terrorists who want to kill as many of our people as they possibly can. That's not the last president; that's the current president, an entire six months ago. Notice this only applies to the use of military force and violence overseas; as we've seen, these same folks have a very different reaction when they hear about a town-hall protester having his finger bitten off. The base of the Democratic party is fundamentally pacifist and isolationist and has extraordinary, although not complete, leverage over this White House.

POPSThe Good War....well I didn't really vote for it. The war in Afghanistan was originally conceived as a necessary war after nearly 3,000 Americans lost their lives in an attack planned there, so rooting out the Taliban supporters of al-Qaida was viewed as justified. Now, however, some Americans have changed their minds. Any wonder? The liberals have never had the stomach for war. No, they do not believe in fighting for a cause unless it only involves a local protest with chants and signs against the evil capitalistic pigs that reside right here at home. So why should Afghanistan be any different? It is not so expect the expected, total surrender and withdrawal soon.

POPSWhy Obama's popularity rating is not that big a deal More: Where will the primary challenge to Obama come from? Would any significant element of the Democratic Party be likely to lend support to such a rebellion? He won by a larger margin than any Democrat since LBJ, and mobilized electoral blocs that are key to the future of the party. Where is the ascendant trend for the GOP, when they are the ones losing the "growing" constituencies -- young people, Latinos and the West -- and they are the ones whose policies created the mess Obama inherited? …As to the economy, everyone's guess is as good as the next person's. Approval ratings won't matter much if we never get out of the current bind, as even Obama himself in a moment of surprising honesty has admitted. But if things get even moderately better, it is hard to imagine, short of scandal or war, that this nation will turn its back on the choice for change it so decisively made last November.

POPSThe War on Terror is Over, But the War on Mobs Has Just Begun Who are these angry mobs, hooligans, and civic vigiliantes? Hope and change have arrived. How do you like it so far?

POPSThe War on Achievement
Recently at a townhall, when a woman asked whether she would have been able to get a pacemaker for her 99 y/o mother, Obama responded by saying her mother could have just taken painkillers (re: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-dQfb8WQvo ). This illustrates what a lot of people have started to realize about Obama: He’s a moron. That’s why his health care plans are not winning popular support; from his handling of the economy people know he’s a moron and they know health care will only be made worse. They worry if they let Obama loose in a hospital, he’ll eat all the lollipops, chew on the wiring, and get a bio-hazard bucket stuck on his head. And if Obama chases a ball into traffic, a spare moron, Biden, is waiting. Govt. is full of morons who couldn’t make in the private sector just waiting to get their stupid on everything. You don’t want your life in their hands. What Republicans need to do is just keep Obama away from important things so he doesn’t hurt himself and others.

POPSDid Toxic Chemical In Iraq Cause GIs' Illnesses? The chemical "is one of the most potent carcinogens know to man" and it can "enter every cell of the body and potentially produce widespread injury to every major organ in the body," said Max Costa, chairman of New York University's Department of Environmental Medicine. KBR, however, says studies show only that industrial workers exposed to the chemical for more than two years have an increased risk of cancer - and in this case, soldiers were at the plant just days or months. KBR denies any wrongdoing.

POPSI Demand Respect, General, "Could you say 'senator'?" "Why do some liberals apparently despise our military?" DeVore asks in a statement on his campaign's Web site. He says the use of "ma'am" is "a perfectly acceptable sign of military respect to both a U.S. senator or a senior female officer." Republican critics in the blogosphere and elsewhere are excoriating Boxer. Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., called Boxer "a loose cannon" and an embarrassment to her party. "I just can't put up with that kind of thing when people think too much of themselves, and we see a lot of that in Washington," DeMint told Fox News Channel. Boxer is scum. California's beleaguered taxpayers would do well to throw her out on her kiester at the next available opportunity.

POPS“Wishful Thinking” Is A Pretty Good Summary Of Democrat Policies Yup. But it’s a misnomer to call it “stimulus.” The “reality-based community” has a collision with reality: http://blog.american.com/?p=1310 Cohn reports how former CBO director and current OMB chief Peter Orszag pressured careerists to assume sizable savings due to proposed reforms. The problem is the bean counters did not believe the alleged savings were justified according to the available evidence…it is interesting that the reality-based Obama crowd, which promised to roll back the “Republican War on Science” is now arguing against what Cohn calls “a super-strict reading of the evidence.” Well, there’s science, and then there’s, you know, “scientific socialism.” Or maybe they’re just waging a war on math.

POPS Dear Barack: Does Your Chrysler 300C Get 35.5 MPG? ...The Obama administration claims the new measures will save 1.8 billion barrels of oil over seven years. But that claim assumes new-car buying habits continue unabated and that people will want to buy expensive, tiny cars. If people instead elect to purchase bigger, cheaper used vehicles, there will be no reduction in consumption; those used vehicles are the same "guzzlers" we're driving today. The fuel economy gains we might have seen with reasonable mileage targets for new vehicles won't be realized if fewer new vehicles are sold. Worse, the auto industry will continue to shrink because of the decrease in new-vehicle sales.

POPS Why Pelosi Must Go But Pelosi is expendable. The job of a Democratic Speaker is to pass the program of the Democratic president. Her ability and track record is measured on a scale of effectiveness. If she is ineffective, she's not up to the job. There is no way that Nancy Pelosi can be effective while she is engaged in a war of words with the Democratic head of the CIA. House members have a shark's instinct for blood in the water and know full well that satisfying Pelosi is likely to be an unrewarding occupation. With House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) waiting in the wings, few congressmen would be willing to treat the IOUs from Pelosi they get for casting difficult votes as worth much more than Confederate currency. Her (Pelosi's) political antecedents come from the McGovern wing of the party. She is a leftist/reformer. An insurgent. But Hoyer is a regular Democrat. Representing a district in the D.C. suburbs of Maryland, he is almost a civil servant himself. He is no radical.

POPSThe General Thinks The Republican Party Is 'In The Desert' In fact, the GOP's tent has many poles: It has social conservatives, libertarians, fiscal conservatives, national-security hawks. These groups do not always agree: The so-cons resent the libertarians' insouciance on gay marriage and abortion. The libertarians don't get the warhawks' obsession with thankless nation-building in Islamist hellholes. A lot of the hawks can't see why the fiscal cons are so hung up on footling matters like bloated government spending at a time of war. It requires a lot of effort to align these various poles sufficiently to hold up the big tent. And by the 2006 electoral cycle, between the money-no-object Congress at home and a war that seemed to have dwindled down to an endless half-hearted semicolonial policing operation, the GOP poles were tilting badly. The Republican coalition is like a permanent loveless marriage: There are bad times and worse times.

POPSAIPAC Bill to Cut-off Oil Products from Iran, Jeapordizes US Economy More
Iran imports 40% of its petroleum products, which AIPAC is leaning on Congress and Obama to cut-off under pretext of "nuclear threat" (hogwash, no evidence of that). See the video and details from the 2009 AIPAC Conference just concluded. Let's imagine the consequences of cutting of oil products from Iran: 1. Iran could reduce supply of crude petroleum to US and others, and get OPEC to agree. Iran controls a large percentage of world supply of crude. 2. Gas prices in the U.S. would skyrocket (again), in this economic war on Iran, in the midst of a severe recession and high unemployment (still growing)! 3. In consequence of #2, all consumer products (that require transportation and fuel) would also skyrocket , causing inflation of prices during recession and unemployment! AIPAC does not care about the U.S. , only the radical Zionist agenda of a "new middle east", and only them with nuclear weapons. Tell Congress NOT to support this legislation!
