POPSRachel Maddow Takes On Pete Hoekstra MADDOW: Why is it Pete Hoekstra who's taking it upon himself to tell the press that this radical cleric is having his email read by U.S. intelligence agencies? Well MadCow - because the media bows to Obama and reports only the "oh he's such a sweet guy" kind of stories - do not expect everyone to goose-step right behind you. Typical far-left attitude though - attack the messenger instead of the facts. Hasan is a home grown Islamic Terrorist - who murdered 13 on US soil while masquerading as a US Soldier. He did it in true Islamic form shouting Allah's praise prior to opening fire. My question is - why the hell don't pukes like yourself quit trying to cover up facts and try reporting them for a change, that is if you can stop your Obama idolizing long enough.

POPS2009 Leonid Meteor Shower More from the article below: ""We're predicting 20 to 30 meteors per hour over the Americas, and as many as 200 to 300 per hour over Asia," says Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office. "Our forecast is in good accord with independent theoretical work by other astronomers." "A remarkable feature of this year's shower is that Leonids will appear to be shooting almost directly out of the planet Mars," notes Cooke. It's just a coincidence. This year, Mars happens to be passing by the Leonid radiant at the time of the shower. The Red Planet is almost twice as bright as a first magnitude star, so it makes an eye-catching companion for the Leonids"

POPSEngineered Rabbit Penises Raise Human Hopes Clipped for the headline. No doubt this will be all over the web. How is the Catholic Church on this sort of tamponing, I mean tampering, with nature. Probably for it. Help the population grow beyond the planet's ability to cope.

POPSSleep Amnesia: Why Do We Forget Our Dreams? The Mind in Sleep: Psychology and Psychophysiology mentions dream kinesthesia as a potential suspect. It happens when we lose the physical movements in our sleep as soon as we physically move after waking up (such as when we reach for the alarm clock). Another possibility is that our memories are formed through repetition and finding connections to other parts of our lives. So when dreams are especially unique (read: crazy) or too undefined to be relatable, it’s harder to tie them to real-life events and remember them. Christof Koch, points out the incongruity between our brains’ being so active during REM sleep (the deep-sleep stage in our sleep cycles) and only vaguely recalling dream details when we awaken. brain waves that roll through during deep sleep may impede information processing. This is a more scientific approach to the brain-recall conundrum.

POPSFacts About US Energy How long are we going to allow our government to prohibit us from accessing our OWN ENERGY? Heck all this talk about the economy and yet we let billions and billions of dollars sit in the ground while we ship our money to other countries to buy their resources that they are more than happy to sell. WAKE UP AMERICA before we are all living in the DARK LITERALLY!

POPS Washington and the Jobs Market The larger measure of joblessness that includes marginal and part-time workers jumped 0.5% to 17.5%. And the average hours worked in a week stayed the same at 33.0, which means that millions of Americans working part-time will have to become full-time before employers start hiring new workers. If Democrats really want to create jobs and save themselves from a debacle in 2010, their best policy option is to stop creating so much investment uncertainty and additional barriers to business hiring. Stop trying to raise business costs by making it easier to unionize via "card check." Stop trying to raise energy costs with a cap-and-tax bill. Stop adding to the deficit and future tax burden with a 12% increase in domestic spending for 2010. Above all, stop trying to ram through Congress on a partisan vote a health-care bill that imposes a 5.4-percentage-point income tax "surcharge" on anyone making more than $500,000 a year......

POPSThe DailyKos reaction to the Fort Hood shooting How do you get this stupid? You have to work hard at it. You have to wake up everyday and carefully consider what you will listen to and what you will have to stare at with an expression of blank incomprehension to remain this dense. And then you need to go on the Daily Kos and write misconceptions about those who disagree with you politically. It’s almost scary to see people this willfully stupid and this angry, This is a screenshot. I don't want links to Kos in my clips.

POPSDo you have trouble falling asleep? It is ironic that I found this article given that I have had trouble sleeping the last few days. My problem is not that I can't go to sleep, it is that I wake up early and then can't go back to sleep. I use relaxation exercises, visualization and even a warm rice pack but to no avail. When I go on vacation, I sleep in every day with no problems. There is probably an insight to be gained there. Do you have trouble falling asleep? What do you do to get a good nights rest? POPSLower costs with more administration I have owned, ran and worked for a number of small, and a couple large, businesses in my career. I can honestly think of NO instance where hiring thousands of people, especially unionized, paid-for-life government workers, could lower costs for anyone. Even at 1900+ pages, it doesn't cover HALF the uninsured. This is success? Wake up people before 20% of your wages are stolen for shoddy "care."

POPSThe EU's New Stealth Tax "But in return Britain would be expected to give up its £4.1billion a year rebate, first agreed by Mrs Thatcher in 1984. Other options being considered include taxes on communications and banks and a carbon tax which would push up the cost of fuel, flights and heating."
