POPSMore Galapagos Than The Galapagos Yemen's Socotra island is a Dr. Seuss land of plants and critters you won't find anywhere else. Now' it's been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Natural Site. I visited in 2004 and can confirm that it's wacky and wonderful...Iwrote about it on Forbes.com in a story about the most isolated places in the world (http://www.forbes.com/2007/05/01/escape-travel-communication-life_cx_ee_07networks_0501grid_slide_3.html?thisSpeed=15000)

POPSThis Is So Much More "Changier" I mean Barack H. Obama is doing some pretty wacky things on this tour. Sitting in Head of state chairs, negotiating foreign policy, utilizing terrorist organizations for security, issuing dress code to the paparazzi, I mean media, hehe, speaking from historic monuments in Germany, all as if he were the actual POTUS? But this must be the best (Worst) thing yet! Of course I hedge that bet as we are only into day two, so we do have some more fun in store I'm sure. That being said, it seems our Jr Senator has decided to remove the US flag and insignia from the US aircraft he is using and opted instead for the logo for his 08 campaign? Maybe this wouldn't be such a big deal if it were not for the fact that he is on a US taxpayer excursion!

POPSThe Long March "much of the wacky, upside-down, right-is-wrong, black-is-white stuff we see in the news these days is directly or indirectly inspired by Gramsci: the attacks on Christianity, the family, individual freedom, morality and moral judgements; multiculturalism; the cult of victimhood, "tolerance," political correctness, the replacement of the roles of family, religion, individual responsibility and choice with government rules, laws, and regs; the expansion of the State and the Welfare State and the Nanny State; anti-tradition, anti-capitalism, anti-success, anti-nationalism, anti-Americanism and anti-Westernism, etc - all the stuff that makes me echo Bob Grant with "It's sick out there, and getting sicker." I am sure Antonio never anticipated that a Green movement would emerge to become an ally of the slow, incrementalist and thus less-alarming Gramscian revolution."

POPSECO Housing.. We, the People have the alternatives So we should get rid of all those, that stand in the way of building a better future. By electing those with the ideas that promote, explore and use the alternatives already at hand and support investments into the alternative energy and home land protection as we need it. We need to protect our home land and preserve a balance in all. Harmony is the goal on all levels of life. Balance and harmony. All else will follow.

I mean, wacky dictator, check, nukes, check, million man army, check, wants to unify his country by force and has built his power base around a cult like following deifying his father, check and check! Not fighting the "hard" wars? Priceless! For everything else Imperial there is Busch and Co.

POPSThe Year 2038 Problem Part I I have this to say:: Roger M. Wilcox has a thorough knowledge base and is very funny. Following my enjoyment of his "That Wacky Century" and "That Wacky Millennium," I had to check out the man's homepage and he is quite diversified. This immediately caught my attention and though the Y2K bug was not so bad, this could actually be a severe problem as many more businesses use Unix than the 8088 architecture. It is the main portal between integrating PC and Mac on the same network and this is a matter that can cause huge foul-ups, but at least he gave us 35 years notice and I am passing along 30 years of that!
