Do your kids bodies and minds a favor, kick their a*ses outside everyday. It was good enough for my parents, and it's good enough for my kids too. POPSUnderstanding Vitamin D - the not-really-a-vitamin vitamin More: There are 3 ways for adults to insure adequate levels of vitamin D: * regularly receive midday sun exposure in the late spring, summer, and early fall, exposing as much of the skin as possible. * regularly use a sun bed (avoiding sunburn) during the colder months. * take 5,000 IU per day for three months, then obtain a 25-hydroxyvitamin D test. Adjust your dosage so that blood levels are between 50–80 ng/mL (or 125–200 nM/L) year-round. Is it just me, or is saying " cholecalciferol is pronounced cho·le·cal·ci·fer·ol " rather less than helpful? Dictionary.com says it's pronounced koh- luh -kal-SIF- uh -rawl .

POPSB12 Usual Dosage The dosage for B12 deficiency is lower. A maintenance dose injection every one to three months is not sufficient for MS -- only as a treatment for B12 deficiency. However, please note the initial one to two week course would require 7 to 14 doses (1 injection every day) which would use up to about half of a 30 ml prescription. In a year the regimen would only require another 12 doses which accounts for the one prescription fill per year. This regimen is not adequate for MS -- only B12 deficiency. -LC
