POPSIt's About Executive Function Karl Malone correctly, in my view, put this gun incident in proper perspective. It's wrong, and it's the worst incident that has ever happened to the NBA and it's reputation. I believe that this incident proclaims the nonexistence of the brain's executive function. This is the part of the brain that controls impulsive, dangerous behaviors. Only someone with immature impulses could have done this. It's too bad, Gilbert Arenas didn't ask someone with a more mature sense of self-control how to keep his guns appropriately away from his children. It seems to me that Karl Malone had a good idea of using a safe...OR he could put them in a safety deposit box. He certainly didn't need to put them in a public place where POTENTIALLY other children might find them. I'm hoping that the NBA will help provide the NBA players involved in the incident with some lessons in properly storing guns. It may be too late, but it's worth the effort.

POPSFLY | Google Android Released Posted by Eric Zeman, Jan 5, 2010 01:10 PM ___ Google is kicking things off with some recaps of what's been going on in the Android space. Apparently 13 new companies have joined the Open Handset Alliance. Andy Rubin said, “The G1 was really just the beginning. We said that’s not enough, let’s do more. Let’s work on a thinner device, develop a soft keyboard and widgets for the home screen, and stereo Bluetooth. That’s when T-Mobile, with HTC, brought out the MyTouch 3G. We said, let’s keep doing more, we’re not satisfied yet.” ___ http://google.twi.bz/qv ___ http://me.twi.bz/j | http://altacities.com

POPSBusiness and ObamaCare "Democrats have defined success as dragging any bill into law as quickly as possible, no matter how damaging, while leaving the mess it creates to be cleaned up in the future once the entitlement is entrenched and higher taxes are inevitable."

POPSGoogle vs Bing or Google vs Google I think google has now more problems with the own ideology. "don't be evil "Don't be evil" is the informal corporate motto (or slogan) of Google. When Google declared their self-censorship move into China, their "Don't be evil" motto was somewhat replaced with an "evil scale" balancing system, allowing smaller evils for a greater good. Hi and I think some of the evils got already childs like for sample Google check out ;-).

POPSThis is the worst review of Amplify ever...
So why am i Amplifying this horrible review of Amplify? Honestly, i'm not exactly sure. Hopefully by the time I stop writing this, i'll figure it out. This review was posted by a user who I exchanged several emails with, trying to understand the problems he was having and doing our best to fix whatever we could. Most of the time, his complaints were hard to understand and didn't even seem sensible. So it really stinks that his review now sits as a stain on the official Amplify Firefox Extension page. I wish there was a place i could go to post a review of ConJunTuraL. I think this is what I'd say. "Before you go bashing a company, give some thought to whether your complaints are reasonable. Give some thought to whether your broken English might have impacted their ability to understand and address your concerns. Give some thought to the fact that as a free service, Amplify provides better customer support than Verizon, AT&T or Comcast. Give some thought that by posting

POPSAT&T Includes Verizon's 'Island Of Misfit Toys' In Lawsuit In follow up to my post yesterday about AT&T's lawsuit against Verizon over the 'Map For That' ad, here is a quick clip discussing AT&T's request to amend their litigation against Verizon over 'The Island Of Misfit Toys' ad. This commercial is priceless, and is a must watch

POPSAT&T's Lawsuit Over Verizon 'Map For That' Ad Didn't Turn Out Exactly As Planned I'm no fan of AT&T, so it's amusing when their efforts to stifle competition and open access to information meets with such unexpected and well-deserved results. From The Ad Age Viral Video Chart, clipped below, Verizon's 'Map For That' ad is back on the charts (after being off for a while), at number 7, with almost half a million views - all because of AT&T's legal team. My lack of love for AT&T is nearly equally juxtaposed by my love of funny commercials. If you haven't seen the 'Map For That' ad, check it out. And, even better, is the Verizon 'Island of Misfit Toys' ad. That one is priceless.
