POPSLima Bean Falafels Nutrition for patties ONLY. I love lima beans and I love these falafels. Not only do they taste great, especially with a bit of tahini dressing, but they're also super easy to make. It took less than 15 minutes to put our meal together and I even made extra falafels (uncooked) to freeze for another time. I served the falafels in whole-grain pita with tahini dressing, butter lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber Tahini Dressing 2 tablespoons tahini 2 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoon water pinch of ground cumin Whisk ingredients together, adding more water if a thinner consistency is desired. Season with salt and pepper

POPSOrange Ginger Baked Tofu Did you know that your skin can synthesize vitamin D if exposed to enough sunlight on a regular basis? Take advantage of the sunlight this summer, but be sure to protect yourself against sunburns. If you won’t be spending much time outdoors, you can fortify your diet with vitamin D. Many products, especially vegetarian foods, contain this essential vitamin. Enjoy a healthy treat from the tropics and make this Orange Ginger Baked Tofu recipe with fortified OJ.

POPSVegan Black Bean Brownies they stayed rather mushy, from what he said, even though I added over 10 minutes to the baking time. I’m sure they’ll be perfect after spending the night in the fridge

POPSHave the governments lost the plot Have the elite lost the plot completely? Do they think by manipulating people into vegan diets that members of the public that are meat eaters are going to take it lying down. What about establishments that rely on meat products such as, McDonalds, KFC, and other food chains that get a percentage from their sales. Personally, I do eat fish, chicken, eggs, and cheese. I have gone vegetarian in the past, and my weight plummeted to where I was an unhealthy weight. If I eat red meat, I eat lamb, and very rarely. My diet is mostly fish and chicken. Milk is an essential source of calcium. I really think the government needs to sign themselves in to a clinic somewhere. They are really coming out with some absurd ideas. Funny enough about the breathing tax-I told my husband that they would find some way to even tax us on the air we breathe. What is wrong with these idiots? They really need to have their heads examined.

POPSChickens Are People Too! *LOL* I've had lots of pet chickens. My last one, Molly was a fiery little "Red Dwarf" with an awesome attitude! She was queen of the roost even over all the cats. Aah, I loved that funny hen. *LOL* Anyway! I'm not a vegan. I believe chickens are "meant" to be eaten by us, just as we one day will be food for others, be it worms or Azaleas. (or White Pointers, if you're an Aussie. Ha ha!) The point is respect. Treat animals with dignity and respect and be thankful for the nourishment they provide. We're all just part of the food chain. Don't waste or squander, but be thankful for the food you are lucky to have. (Not all are as lucky as us, to be able to eat every day.) Check out all the cool comments from fellow clippers on the clip about plants having feelings , for some really cool thoughts on consciousness and awareness and interconnectedness. Mind-expanding! Molly died of old age, by the way...

POPSAre The Chinese Trying To Tell Us Something? This is scary. My family does not live and can not yet afford to move to a property where we can produce our own food; particularly, vegetables and fruits. We don't live near a farmer's market. So, we rely, like many Americans, on our local commissary or supermarket. The way I read this article, it's telling us there is very little we can do about this problem of tainted food and other necessities because by squashing China's imports we would be shooting ourselves in the foot. So it seems as if China is sending us poison--because they can. And there is nothing we can do about it. Even a vegan diet is not immune to potential poisoning unless you totally go homegrown.
