Former Secret Service Tell-All: Jimmy Carter a Fake, Phony, Liar
clip-on-tie
by clip-on-tie  10-15-2009    2
Not surprising to me, but Reagan and Bush got the best reviews...the nicest. Read it and weep: http://www.northstarnational.com/2009/10/14/secret-service-agent-opens-window-private-lives-presidents/ Carter “didn’t want the police officers and agents looking at him or speaking to him when he went to the office,” explained an assistant White House usher. “The only time I saw a smile on Carter’s face was when the cameras were going,” one former agent told Kessler. After his presidency, Kessler reports that when Carter would stay at a townhouse maintained for former presidents in D.C., he would take down pictures of other presidents and put up more pictures of himself! “The Carters were the biggest liars in the world,” one agent told Kessler of the Carter era. Not surprising, liberals say they're for the common man; in an episode of Fringe maybe.

Why Socialists Pursue Socialism to the Ends of the Earth
merrie

. . . and offers the only internally consistent explanation for their historic obsession with divisive policy. From their early support of Hitler to their central role in the current financial crisis, the Left’s contribution to domestic and foreign policy at federal, state and local levels can only be described as wantonly destructive. Their takeover of schools and popular culture has been equally toxic. Their environmental radicalism has spawned the energy crisis, while offering no viable alternatives. It defies logic. But there is logic, a deadly logic, and in the '60’s, two radicals gave it a name: the Cloward-Piven Strategy. As explained in the prior article in this series, the goal was to create a groundswell of demands for public services to overwhelm government, create crisis and usher in a widespread call for fundamental economic reform at the federal level, with socialism the ultimate goal. Cloward and Piven focused on welfare, voting,

Obama’s Well Organized Community Is Falling Apart
The Infowarrior
by The Infowarrior  8-21-2009    2
"Who spends an obscene $1 Billion dollars to win a lousy $400,000 per year job, and why? The people behind Obama expect a return on their investment. And they are NOT the kind of folks you want to disappoint… These folks make Capone look like a choir boy. Before the ink was dry on Obama’s fake Certification of Live Birth (not to be confused with an actual birth certificate), Obamanation was off to confiscate control of banking, insurance, energy and auto manufacturing. Before they knew what was happening, the American people woke up the proud new owner of Government Motors and $13 Trillion in debt. But it wasn’t until Obamanation tried to confiscate control of 1/7th of the US economy by nationalizing the private American health care industry that the people took to the streets in protest." Hell on Earth
ColoradoRight
by ColoradoRight  8-18-2009    2
Look at the defense Alinsky’s disciples are making of the Obama socialized medicine plan as they ask distressed constituents at the townhall meetings, do you have Medicare and do you like it? That’s a government health care system that works. Oh? So why is it going bankrupt? Isn’t that the reason for the new system? This one of course is much bigger, so the bankruptcy will be much more painful and destructive. But there wouldn’t be a need for this “solution,” and the price of medical care wouldn’t so outrageous, if progressives hadn’t devised the present system in the first place. So one rule for conservatives should be this: Don’t be so polite. When progressives propose their progressive solutions, remind them of the hell they have inflicted on the people they claim to want to help — gays, blacks, Hispanics, children. And that’s just for starters.

Fox Nation's Big, Big, BIG, Bigoted Article
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  8-15-2009    2
DIGG COMMENTS: "wow they'll say anything" "Every time I read crazy bullshit like this, the phrase "grasping at straws" comes to mind." "It's downright scary how dumb these people are." --- I live in my own little sphere where such stupidity does not reign supreme. I stay away from Fox news, (if my remote button lands on it even for a second, I quickly push next to get the hell out of there, FAST). I don't view the backwardness of Fox viewers as scary (unless, they start donning white sheets and pointed hoods). But I do get angry that there is a media outlet that fuels ignorance and makes money doing so, to boot. The FoxTV/Right-wing talk charlatans use their follower’s shallowness to control this audience and what a sad lot they are. Always in a state of anger, believing some group is to blame for their hardships; when in reality it's the very right-wing political and religious belief system they’ve bought into that keeps them bound by their own ignorance. It's sad. thinkingblue

The Question of Freedom at the Open Video Conference
wildcat
by wildcat  7-14-2009    1
"Benkler argued that Open Video was indicative of an “open democracy for everyone, everywhere, all the time.” Open Video Culture, he said, would usher in the possibility for “anyone to express oneself, be creative and innovative.” Benkler also claimed that because “millions of people are now looking at problems” we will thus find millions of, “distributed solutions.” In this “free” culture, he continued, “human creativity would move to the core.” Aside from the seemingly naïve conflation of terms, exactly which society, which “everyone,” and which economic system did Benkler have in mind?" A very important read

It's time for advertising to catch up to social media
egoldstein
by egoldstein  7-9-2009
I often hear skepticism from old media companies about how social media will never make money. Strikes me as the kind of skepticism that typically occurs during major shifts that usher out the old and welcome in the new. The clip below speaks of the need for advertising to evolve to better integrate with today's new social media experience. I hope and believe that it will.
