POPSG7 warning over rising oil prices I question a comment made in this article.... "US-Iran tensions and rising demand are being blamed for the increase." I had a thought.... is it inconceivable to think that there is a possibility the oil companies are upping the price per barrel in order to encourage a "pullback" of forces? Is it possible that they can use oil to control the outcome of the next election? Control what moves Bush will "have to make next" in regards to pulling out of Iraq? On another note, why would they cut off their nose ..... If the increase forces Bush to push faster and harder for alternative fuels... where does that leave the gains earned by the oil companies given the $75 + price per barrel? Just some thoughts.
