Liberalism is based on the ideology that "anything goes." especially if it involves Astroglide. And if Prejean is a "fraud," why don't we elect her to be the President of the United States, since the liberals have no problem with the fraud sitting in the Oval Office. At a time of political turmoil, a charismatic, telegenic new leader arrives virtually out of nowhere. He offers a message of hope and reconciliation based on compromise and promises to marshal technology for a better future that will include universal health care. The news media swoons in admiration -- one simpering anchorman even shouts at a reporter who asks a tough question: “Why don't you show some respect?!!” The public is likewise smitten, except for a few nut cases who circulate batty rumors on the Internet about the leader's origins and intentions. The leader, undismayed, offers assurances that are soothing, if also just a tiny bit condescending: “Embracing change is never easy.”

I don't blame people for not trusting special interest groups. I just thought this article brought out some interesting points regarding social media.

It does seem to have an apt moral to the story, a warning of universal global domination under the pretense of kindness, hope, love with a lot of change--an potent warning against Global Governance that we are moving toward. Be sure, however, that it is propaganda of some kind that only Hollywood would front, and Hollywood is not to be trusted either. After all, Star Trek's "Federation" represents precisely the same thing of utopian world or universal governance, or World Federal Union , versus the "Cling-Ons" that resist it which are painted as evil.

Meanwhile, Beck has yet to explain how regulations constraining the mega-corporations that provide our Internet infrastructure from deciding what content we can and can't access would actually take the system "out of the private hands of private business". Maybe Beck can explain to us why Comcast was attacking peer-to-peer file sharing on its network system.

POPSObama’s Media Control Strategy The new plan: federal government would define a “new public square” with a “common space with shared facts.” The only reason I can see why the federal government wants to “define a new public square” is so it can have some control over the flow of information. Am I being too paranoid? If the internet is to remain a truly free-flow of information, we need to keep it free from any type of control. Sure, there will always be misinformation, but having multiple sources of info is the checks-and-balances system to identify that misinformation as bogus. This new system sounds suspiciously like the “new public square” is the “public option” for the media and this extreme makeover is not only for media but our system of government.
