Property preservation involves the securing, protecting, and preparing of properties for sale that have undergone foreclosure, default, or are in bank-owned status. The financial hardships that cause these unfortunate situations leave prior homeowners unhappy about losing their homes. As a result, many of these homes are left in poor and sometimes unmarketable conditions.

Build a Fence, Look Good, Oops!
nedhamson1
by nedhamson1  9-28-2009
Good thing no one suggested that we build a fence to keep Osama bin Ladin on one place so we could find him. The Australians built 3 fences to keep rabbits out of Western Australia. It took 6 years to build and was a bit over 2,000 in length. In 7 years, we have not been able to build 27 miles of fence using private contractors. Grin - maybe Congress should have gone for the Public Option, copied the CCC of the Depression Years, and hired a bunch of out of work construction workers put them under the supervision of US Forestry trail builders and just do it!

Pray to god this scum sucking dirtbag gets his true justice in jail. Really hate to sound cold hearted but this kind of scum doesn't deserve even a trial where he can plead "oh i was abused as a child so i am not responcible...poor me" This is the one and only thing i agree with dictatorships ..... take them immediately to woods, torture them until dead. Not immediate death thats to easy. No waste of taxpayers money maintaining his upkeep for years and years

Goodbye Bland Affluence ~ Get Ready For Authenticity Chic
merrie
by merrie  4-17-2009    2
Middle-aged bodies will be thicker and softer, with more maternal and paternal give. There will be fewer gyms and fewer trainers, but more walking. Gym machines produced the pumped and cut look. They won't be so affordable now. Hollywood will take the cue. During the depression, stars such as Clark Gable were supposed to look like normal men. Physical perfection would have distanced them from their audience. Now leading men are made of megamuscles, exaggerated versions of their audience. That will change. The new home fashion will be spare. This will be the return of an old WASP style: the good, frayed carpet; dogs that look like dogs and not a hairdo in a teacup, as miniature dogs back from the canine boutique do now. A friend, noting what has and will continue to happen with car sales, said America will look like Havana—old cars and faded grandeur. It won't. It will look like 1970, only without the bell-bottoms and excessive hirsuteness.

More Unfair Taxing Proposed
Ilsadago1
by Ilsadago1  2-20-2009    2
Living in a rural area without access to public transportation, this would be horribly unfair. On an average, I drive 40 miles each way to work. It's 90% highway miles in a car that gets about 30 mpg. As it is, I fill up the 15 gal tank at least twice a week, sometimes more. If the system changes, people living in urban areas will pay the least (if they avail themselves of public transport or live close to work) but, as history shows, will benefit the most from road improvements. State roads tend to be the last repaired when compared to city streets, federal highways. And lord help you if you live on a dirt road! Nope, not a fair solution at all. Personally, I favor toll roads. People who use the roads pay for the upkeep -- especially the large trucks that are so hard on them. Also, states should be forced to use materials that will last! That cold patch junk is useless. Black top should be thick enough to stand up to the weather.
