The good possibility of some other disease breaking out because of piling up garbage and an ensuing growth in rodent and fly populations. Swine flu developed within industrially grown herds of thousands of pigs in unsanitary conditions, which is a formula for creating the chance of a disease breakout. The unintended consequence of the use of pigs kept in small numbers by families who collected and recycled garbage for income? A safer Cairo? Why'd they really do it? They have had 30+ deaths from avian flu arising from "farming" too many chickens in unsanitary conditions for the world poultry market. Had to look good at something but not threaten the income of poultry traders. Add to this that the garbage pickers are minority Coptic Christians and the government probably thought no one would care. But now the garbage is piling up

POPSEmployees At NC Domino's Fired After Posting Video On YouTube Domino's Vice President of Communications Tim McIntyre said the franchise owner of the Conover Domino's is innocent. WBTV also received an email from a woman claiming to be the employee behind the camera. She swears none of the food was ever delivered to customers and it was all a joke. POPSRats Run Wild In KFC-Taco Bell In N.Y. Last week, it was reported that Taco Bell sales had slumped after the widely publicized E. coli scare, but that international sales helped Yum Brands in the company's fourth quarter. The E. coli outbreak late last year caused more than 70 Taco Bell customers to become ill. Federal officials said in December that the most likely source of the illnesses was lettuce. Taco Bell took precautions by changing its suppliers of lettuce and cheese in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

POPSIndonesia - Severe Flooding in Jakarta, city of Nine Million people. This could be a devasting to Indonesia's infrastructure and economy. It is unimaginable to think a city so large could be dealt such a terrible blow. How will they cope and rebuild after something like this? The magnitude of the problems that will continue to unfold from this flooding for years to come. This highlights yet another region that will need attention and funding and assistance on an international scale. Ignoring this issue would simply foster a breeding ground for poverty, anger, hatred and distrust of governments.
