POPSBang Mi? Top 10 Foodie Typos Haste makes waste. It can also make very entertaining typos. It takes a keen eye (or a Jay Leno Show intern) to spot the exceptional gem on a takeout menu or expose the unintentional comedy amongst rambling food metaphors.

POPSGas mask Bra, and no thats not a typo. lol. LOL!!, now that's both innovative and practical, but lets hope it stops there, as I don't think the male alternative will be as popular. lol Public Health: Elena N Bodnar, Raphael C Lee, and Sandra Marijan of Chicago, US, for inventing a bra that can be quickly converted into a pair of gas masks -one for the wearer and one to be given to a needy bystander.

POPSTEXAS now in play? Is that a typo? Gallup shows only 5 states leaning or solidly Republican while 37 are solidly or leaning D. Eight new Red states, including Texas (which now polls 42% D, 40% R) are solidly in play. Perhaps Democrats owe a debt of gratitude to birthers, Palin and Limbaugh, and "death panel" politics. Now we'll see if they have the courage to step up and do something worthwhile.

POPSOh I hate those Surveys As much as I dislike surveys, this was a very simple and small one. It just exemplifies what I have always believed to be true. Even with today's texting shorthand, and those annoying little 3 letter acronyms, it is still important to at least know how to spell words correctly when you need to. lol And, of course good grammar is always something I can appreciate.

POPSGood luck selling that "refridgerator" In the past fifteen years or so, I've also noticed that a lot more errors are showing up in print - newspapers and magazines. I attribute this to reporters' use of direct terminals to write stories. In less technological times, the editor and, perhaps, a number of copyreaders (copyboys in the old days - think Jimmy Olsen) had a chance to catch the obvious slips. As a last bulwark against typos, or sometimes a last source of them, were the human typetters who ran the Linotype machines. I can sympathize with the author at the source; At one point in my life I taught college composition and wallowed daily in the dregs of bad writing. In recent years, I've become more prone to typos thanks to nerve damage from an injury, and am mortified when a mistyped item escapes my notice before I click on the 'done' button. Hence, Jorjor's Law: Intelligent people make typographical errors; stoopid peepul dont no hau too spel.

POPSReally Review those Proofs This is a problem more common than you might think. Typos in phone numbers and websites addresses are problematic. I have know of entrepreneurs who had to purchase additional URL domain names because of misspelling. Remember to be careful.

POPSJoe the Plumber May Lose His Right to Vote.
Republican Joe might lose his right to vote due to another tactic of Republican voter suppression. Why? Because he name is misspelled. Misspelled by an election official when he registered. Misspelled by one letter. As this clip says: "disenfranchisement by typo." This happen to Jose Lopez-Sandin. The election official typed in his name as 'Joseph." This happen to Anne Nguyen. The election official typed her name as: "Ann." You would think such a thing would be no problem. No. You would think it could be corrected, right now, a few weeks before the elections; or even right there at the voting place. No. So, at least, such a voter could fill out a 'provisional ballot' and that solves the problem. No. Provisional ballots get rejected at an extremely high rate. You think stupid things like this (also, like having your home address with a typo), you would think the law would be changed. No. Republicans like this type of voter suppression that mainl

POPSClear Republican Voter & PR Machinations
New Yorkers have a chance to vote for Barrack Osama. Having the State Elections Office spelling the names of the candidates correctly is a rather important thing. Three proof readers apparently missed this; we told. My Point is really about another claim of so-called Voter Fraud mentioned frequently on clipmarks: The dastardly ACORN conspiracy to steal the elections by submitting phony names on voter registration cards. Phony names, like: Barrack Osama. The best description of the ACORN accusations, I now realize, is that the Republicans were trying to "make a mountain out of a molehill." -- deliberately whining about this and every stupid thing under the sun, like Obama using the words: "lipstick on a pig," or the bad photo of Palin in Newsweek and Nothing of Substance. I've seen voter fraud. It was a whole voting booth found in the town dump one week after elections. This stuff? Mountains out of molehills to distract and rile up ignorant emotions. Barrack Osama?
