POPSObama Election Signals Return of the Vampire "“The 1980s, the Reagan era, is the most prolific era for zombie movies,” Dendle said. “They drop off the face of the Earth in 1990, in terms of high-budget studio films.” Vampires – and Democrats – swooped back to prominence. Ten days after Bill Clinton defeated George H.W. Bush, “Bram Stoker's Dracula” hit theaters. The Clinton years were also haunted by “Interview with the Vampire,” “Dracula: Dead and Loving It” and “Blade.” Zombies returned with a brain-eating vengeance during George W. Bush's tenure: “28 Days Later,” “28 Weeks Later,” “Dawn of the Dead,” “Day of the Dead,” “Diary of the Dead.” Bush-era zombies, noted Chera Kee, a University of Southern California doctoral candidate studying these cultural icons, also wandered into video games and comic books. POPSPentagon Wants $450 Billion Increase in Spending ...realizing that Obama might come in with a knife. Note the quote from Rabbi Dov Zakheim (neoconservative and PNAC member) on who's watch billions were lost and "unaccounted for" , in the Pentagon's black book-keeping. (On Sept. 11th the side of the Pentagon destroyed included the accountants and records of the Pentagon Budget Office!) Talk about Wall Street fraud, here is another black hole. Zakheim should be brought up on fraud charges. No comptroller of any corporation would get away with the kind of loss and unaccounted for spending (e.g. Enron). There is no accountability in government, especially the Pentagon. Everything is just fine is the message we get when outrageous abuses take place with taxppayers' money.

POPSScientists and dancers find inspiration and insight in collaboration. "...On the way, he met one of his colleagues, Bob Edgar, to whom he explained the experiment. "Edgar proceeded to convert my beautiful design into instructions for an imaginary square dance, prancing from one side of the road to the other as he acted out a dance of bacterophage particles, each marked with a different isotope, pairing and separating, moving in lines, re-assorting themselves and so on. This lasted for the 300 yards between his classroom and the lawn with its waiting human dancers, where he plunged off into the golden twilight." Cairns had never thought of an experiment as a form of choreography before. You probably haven't either. Cairns was very happy that Edgar had, however, because in dancing the experiment, the two of them realized that it couldn't possibly work. A bit of fancy footwork saved him weeks of useless lab work."
