POPSDo Animals Dream? Studies conducted in 2000 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), led Cambridge researchers to believe that not only do animals dream, but their dreams can be highly complex involving long sequences of replayed waking events. Results, published in the 25 January 2001 issue of the Neuron journal, suggested that rats trained to run a track dreamed about their experiences. Actually anyone with an observant eye and a love of animals knows this to be true .... sigh, I suppose the halls of academia need to pretend to be doing "ground breaking research"

POPSLibs Scold Black Conservatives: saying “Who the “H” Do You Think You Are?” Life is about choices. Liberals do a great disservice to minorities by constantly attempting to convince them they are eternal victims unable to achieve without liberal intervention. It has been said, “If you love someone, set them free”. --Lloyd Marcus (black) Unhyphenated American, Singer/Songwriter, Entertainer, Author, Artist & Tea Party Patriot ______________________________ Hey liberals, there are many BLACK conservatives, just as there are many GAY conservatives. In a world consisting of "tolerance," as defined by Webster, "liberal," the "literal" sense would be the norm, instead of the exact opposite There is nothing generous or tolerant about crushing, intimidating and silencing views other than your own Hand out free boots on your own time, and don't scold me for putting them on wrong. And the request for that boot tax you want on those "free boots" has been declined.

POPSNo Matter How Deep The Tinsel Gets "Their passion notwithstanding, they're no match for a $450-billion marketing juggernaut whose seasonal tally helps determine the course of our national economy. Don't get me wrong; I'd never discourage the purists from raising their questions. After all, contention itself confers importance on an issue in America. And the paradox inherent in modern Christmases is worth grappling with. The very fact that the battle to save Christmas is joined year in and year out -- and has been since we started down the gift-giving, Black Friday, mallification path of excess -- seals the deal. If the tension lives, the true meaning of Christmas does too, no matter how deep the tinsel gets. And that ought to give everyone at least a little comfort and joy."

POPSThe Christmas Truce 1914 (A True Story) Go here to listen at storytellers: http://www.theamericanstoryteller.com/story-details.cfm?story=116 I love this story! Hope you like it. In our age of uncertainty, it's comforting to believe, regardless of the real reasoning and motives, that soldiers and officers told to hate, loathe and kill, could still lower their guns and extend the hand of goodwill, peace, love and Christmas cheer.

POPSAmerica's Epitaph Karl Marx dismissed God as a hoax, and Lenin and Stalin have added in clear-cut, unmistakable language their resolve that no nation, no people who believe in a god, can exist side by side with their communistic state. Karl Marx, for example, expelled people from his Communist Party for mentioning such things as love, justice, humanity or morality. He called this "soulful ravings" and "sloppy sentimentality." . . . Today we are engaged in a final, all-out battle between communistic atheism and Christianity. The modern champions of communism have selected this as the time, and ladies and gentlemen, the chips are down--they are truly down.

POPS"The Gift of the Magi & O. Henry I have not heard of this story or seen anything about it since I saw it as a child. It made me cry then and it does now. The story indeed tells of the genuine self-sacrifice of true love.

POPSDAVID Beckham doesn't fear the axe 'I do not fear being axed for the World Cup. If I don't make the squad it's not going to stop me supporting the team,' he said. 'Nothing is guaranteed, I have discovered that is true in my career. But if I can be part of it then it will be amazing.

POPSAbortion is "sacred work"............... "They also suggest writing a letter to "the spirit of the child." Many women find they are talking to the spirit of the child inside of them. It may be useful and helpful to write your thoughts on paper. Some women write how they came to their decision, some ask for forgiveness. Some thank the spirit for the wisdom or thoughts they have had about life. Some write about the love they feel. Sometimes, having a way to say goodbye is an important part of healing. But the clinic warns women about where to go to find answers. "Remember: Go to factual and supportive sites. Use our Resources, or Choice Link Up. Avoid the negative traps of anti-choice sites." I'm sure they wouldn't want their patients reading sites that don't think their clinic is quite so sacred. Abortion is the result of the absence of love - love which is good, holy, sacred. "

POPSThe "Twilight" Saga: Textbook abusive relationship more: And this movie is the one that made $140 million bucks in one weekend. Bigger than Dark Knight. Maybe it's just that I'm older and (hopefully) wiser than the characters and thus out of this movie's target demographic, or maybe I'm a humorless feminist, but knowing that zillions of girls are seeing this getting the idea that a seriously unhealthy relationship is somehow the equivalent of true love -- that is profoundly disturbing. Far scarier than a werewolf.
