POPSAn Iranian "Embassy" In Boston [mullahs lobby machine] Two year ago when Maleki came to Harvard, Sadegh Kharrazi, a close friend and collaborator of his, told Shargh newspaper in Tehran (May 28, 2006): "There is actually an Iranian lobby in US which illustrates itself occasionally…. should remain non-governmental, but the government could support it, promote it and rely on it". Maleki's goal has been to turn this "occasional" lobby to a full time and large scale machine of influence and misinformation. It is now apparent that the policy of United States on Iran over the past has been packed with confusion and shortsightedness. It is certainly not a mere security oversight to allow so many former officials enter the United States. Almost certainly, the United States’ goal is to create a back door channel to the mullahs in Iran, a de facto Iranian embassy. Nevertheless, this “embassy” is acting more like a Trojan horse than an ambassadorial channel.

POPSIntelligent Design and Evolution They are at it still, hell bend for dragging the science that permitted them to even evaluate into the toilet of eternal ignorance. Creationism and intelligent design are a strictly philosophical theory. Non-Science. Evolution may or may not be as complete in our journey of discovery, since many things are not found yet, but to pretend this is about intelligent design as a science would be going back, repeating history. Some of us are trying to move into the 21st century and beyond, not into the middle ages or 18th century. If they plan creationism and intelligent design as a serious science to be the centerpiece of USA's science, we will loose the competition with the rest of the world. Do they, the creationists, ever consider the consequences for real science, or are they just so in love with godliness, that they cannot be here for real? Be real, evolution has given you a chance to move forward, not back into the caves.

POPSHow we can hold Obama accountable. Good Ideas and great article...I just wonder who will turn up the heat on Obama, especially about the military funding and the Pentagon's agenda, and be heard thru all the hoopla of his ascendancy to the Preznutsy? Whoever does better make it loud and clear, rinse and repeat until he comes clean.

POPSWhy Would Anyone Vote For An "R" Guy? Except those who are well off!! These people invariably, vote for the "R" guy to keep money flowing for the wealthiest and then so arrogantly call this flow, TRICKLE-DOWN ECONOMICS. If you ask me, any phrase with the word TRICK in it, should make you outright suspicious! www.thinkingblue.blogspot.com --- In the 1980’s Ronald Reagan ushered in a new era in American economics as he cut the top tax bracket from 70% down to 50% and then down again to 28%. In order to get support for doing this from the people, and also from politicians, a very crafty set of lies were produced. As David Stockman, then Reagan’s budget director, put it: giving small tax cuts across the board to all brackets was simply a “Trojan Horse” that was used to get approval for the huge top tax bracket cuts. “Trickle-Down” was a term used by Republicans that meant giving tax cuts to the rich. Stockman explains that:.. More Below

POPSThe iPhone's First Virus? Security researchers have been predicting malware for the iPhone since before it was even launched. This piece of malicious code, spotted by Symantec's folks, is more of a prank than a real threat, but may foreshadow real exploits.

POPS Malware Found On New Hard Drives Taipei Times In recent years, the Chinese government has run an aggressive spying program relying on information technology and the Internet, the bureau said. Following findings by the Investigation Bureau that portable hard discs produced by US disk-drive manufacturer Seagate Technology that were sold in Taiwan contained Trojan horse viruses, further investigations suggested that “contamination” took place when the products were in the hands of Chinese subcontractors during the manufacturing process. Seagate did not disclose the stage in the manufacturing process where the Chinese subcontractor installed the Trojan horse.

POPSMac Trojan - It's Finally Happened Unlike many Windows-based attacks, the Trojan doesn't exploit a hole in Apple's software, and it can't install itself. Instead, it relies on social engineering, tricking users into downloading the codec, and requiring that they type in the administrator password to install it.

POPSHR 418- A National ID Bill Masquerading as Immigration Reform It is absurd to call this voluntary. Republican Party talking points on this bill, which claim that this is not a national ID card, nevertheless endorse the idea that “the federal government should set standards for the issuance of birth certificates and sources of identification such as driver’s licenses.” So they admit that they want a national ID but at the same time pretend that this is not a national ID. This bill establishes a massive, centrally-coordinated database of highly personal information about American citizens: at a minimum their name, date of birth, place of residence, Social Security number, and physical and possibly other characteristics. What is even more disturbing is that, by mandating that states participate in the “Drivers License Agreement,” this bill creates a massive database of sensitive information on American citizens that will be shared with Canada and Mexico!

POPSStorm Worm Getting Really Really Scary When security mega-guru Bruce Schneier says it's time to get scared about something, I get scared. Here he enumerates why the Storm worm, (probably the largest bot net of all time--the Washington Post's Brian Krebs calculated that it was bigger than the world's biggest supercomputer) is unlike anything that's threatened the Internet in the past, and speculates on what it could be intended for.

POPSTrojan horse full of liberals - Is it too late to beat them back? "Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder", as "historian Arnold J. Toynbee famously observed" FROM THE SAME BLOG: "there's always the Benedict Option -- the path pioneered in the fifth century by St. Benedict and his followers: Those men and women decided that the survival of the moral community would not be possible under the old order – so they pioneered the nucleus of a new one. They became the Benedictine monks and nuns and their followers, who spread throughout the Europe of the Dark Ages, preserving the remnants of Christian and classical virtues and laying the groundwork for the rebirth of a new civilization."

POPSWill Aussies voters wear the green and gold? I predicted early on that global warming is going to be a major factor in the Australian federal elections planned for the end of this year. Last week Prime Minister John Howard belatedly recognised this in attempting to divert the focus away from AGW and onto economic management, when he claimed that, "climate change is not the overriding moral challenge for Australians". Then he contradicted himself by clearing the way for a nuclear powered future, using global warming mitigation as his Trojan horse. This weekend Labor pressed on with its perceived electoral advantage, announcing a policy to subsidise home generated solar energy for households earning under $250,00 per year by way of interest free loans. One big benefit of this approach, to my mind, is that it would stimulate a local solar and renewable energy industry.
