POPS..and One Rumour Obama Cannot Dispel "Fact: Obama is eighth cousin to Cheney, according to research by the vice-president's wife Lynne. The two men share a common ancestor in a 17th-century French immigrant." Crikey, I think I would shoot myself if I shared common ancestry with war monger Cheney.

POPSRev. Jeremiah Wright Says "Jews" Are Keeping Him From Obama Wright also said Obama should have sent a U.S. delegation to the World Conference on Racism held recently in Geneva, Switzerland, but that the president did not do so for fear of offending Jews and Israel. "Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing (by) the Zionist is a sin and a crime against humanity, and they don't want Barack talking like that because that's anti-Israel," Wright said.

POPSPentagon Deeply Involved in Christian Reality TV Shows “These unconscionable efforts by the leadership of our American armed forces to portray our United States military as the avenging Army of Jesus must stop here and now,” Weinstein said. “It is directly leading to the emboldening of our enemy which, in turn, is maiming and killing brave American service men and women."

POPSObama, Me And Our Pastors Obama took the well-traveled road that all Machiavellian, ambitious, unscrupulous men take, which is why men of this ilk are very dangerous and should never be given the reigns of political power – for they lust after money, power, control, legacy and the applause from the fickle crowds above all else. Could it be that Obama sought out these radicals because he is a certified socialist with the most extremist liberal voting record in the Senate? Obama and I are the same age (46, born one month apart) After graduating from law school, I lived in Chicago from 1994-97. There I wrote several e-mails to Obama while he was as an adjunct professor of constitutional law at the University of Chicago, repeatedly asking if he could help me obtain a teaching position there. The response from this man who is down with helping "the disenfranchised"? – silence of the lambs – nothing.

POPSUh, Who Cares What Religion Obama Is? Evidently this "issue" has captured the imagination of religious people around the US. Maybe they're not familiar with Article VI of the Constitution. The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States. The popular view today would seem to be that this article was simply a "suggestion".

POPSDo you know where that crucifix comes from? Via http://snipr.com/1u90g. The Association for Christian Retail (over $4 billion in business annually), following in Wal-Mart's footsteps, uses Chinese sweatshop labor to make crucifixes and sells them with the label "Made in Italy."

POPSChristo Wicca I believe in the acceptance and respect of all religions. I lean towards The United Church Of Christ but find this concept of a blend of beliefs enlightening. I have reverence for the earth and feel the materials of the earth are placed here by a superior being for us to incorporate into our faith based practices and religious rituals. Freedom to all people to worship as they see fit. Blessed be, God Bless, open your hearts and minds and through Jesus Christ and His many diverse means of worshiping Him! We should celebrate this diversity and the beauty of nature which comes from above!

POPSGetReligion.org: "Media ignore Obama's testimony" GetReligion.org's Daniel Pulliam notes that, amidst all the reportage on Obama's "faith got hijacked" remark, the mainstream media ignored the fact that his UCC address contained a very direct and revealing description of his personal conversion experience, which he thinks is unprecedented for presidential candidates.
