POPSObama funnels federal money to top campaign contributors While the Adler Planetarium earmarks look normal on the surface, there is a catch. The Chairman and two of the Vice Chairman of the Adler Planetarium Board of Trustees raised a total of almost $250,000 for Sen. Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign. The Adler Planetarium was probably pleasantly surprised when they found that their earmark increased by $2.7 million dollars, in other words, by a factor of ten. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Frank Clark, stands out amongst Obama supporters. On Sen. Obama’s website, Mr. Clark is listed as a bundler who raised in excess of $200,000 for the Senator’s Presidential campaign. In 2004, Mr. Clark donated $5,000 to the then State Senator Obama’s U.S. Senate bid. In 2005, Mr. Clark became the Chairman of the Board at Adler Planetarium, and in 2006 Sen. Obama earmarked $300,000 to the Planetarium.

POPSThe joke is finally on Barack Obama For those of us who are no fans of Obama....just a fun article that sums up his campaign fairly well. FTA: "..when Obama was asked what he thought about being called arrogant, well, he said he was 'above having to answer that question.'"

POPS20 Tips for Success - Kimmons Wilson 13. No job is too hard as long as you are smart enough to find someone else to do it for you. 14. Opportunity comes often. It knocks as often as you have an ear trained to heat it, an eye trained to see it, a hand trained to grasp it, and a head trained to use it. 15. You cannot procrastinate-in two days, tomorrow will be yesterday. 16. Sell your wristwatch and buy an alarm clock. 17. A successful person realizes his personal responsibility for self-motivation. He starts himself because he possesses the key to his own ignition switch. 18. Do not worry. You can't change the past, but you sure can ruin the present by worrying aver the future. Remember that half the things we worry about never happen, and the other half are going to happen anyway. So, why worry? 19. It is not how much you have but how much you enjoy that makes happiness. 20. Believe in God and obey the Ten Commandments.

POPS Arrogance Watch Elevating the issue of Obama's arrogance two or three notches higher, Dana Milbank writes in Wednesday's Washington Post: Fresh from his presidential-style world tour, during which foreign Obama settled down to some presidential-style business in Washington Then, he went up to Capitol Hill to be adored by House Democrats in a presidential-style pep rally. Along the way, he traveled in a bubble more insulating than the actual president's. Traffic was shut down for him as he zoomed about town in a long, presidential-style motorcade, while the public and most of the press were kept in the dark about his activities, which included a fundraiser at the Mayflower where donors paid $10,000 or more to have photos taken with him.

POPS10 things all economists believe "If economics is finally a science, what, exactly, does it teach? With the help of Columbia University economist Pierre-André Chiappori, I have synthesized its findings into ten propositions. Almost all top economists—those who are recognized as such by their peers and who publish in the leading scientific journals—would endorse them (the exceptions are those like Joseph Stiglitz and Jeffrey Sachs, whose public pronouncements are more political than scientific). The more the public understands and embraces these propositions, the more prosperous the world will become."

POPSObama Considers Monsanto, Bush Sec. Of Agricuture for VP
So, when Barack Obama even CONSIDERS a Monsanto person for his VP, we are looking at one hellish choice on his part and one large one on ours. Because ANYONE connected to Monsanto, at a time when our family farmers and ranchers (we are losing 1000 ranchers a month) are facing imminent collapse, is a threat to our land, our democracy and our lives. I hope you read the following with the horror it deserves and then get hold of every farming, environmental, human rights group you know and with them, let Obama know that some things are impossible to swallow, and monopoly over food with the loss of our farmers is TOP of the list. And in case you are late to who Monsanto is, you can read this to understand the dire significance of Obama's even considering such a choice and what it says about him as a "grass-roots" anything: Obama's Uniquely Awful Veep Prospect 2 hours, 4 minutes ago The Nation July 26, 2008 The Nation -- Barack Obama's vice presidential search team

So, you’ve scoured The Times Top 100 Films of All Time and have realised, with rising panic, that you’ve seen only five of them.
