Toledo Blade Resorts To Cry Baby Censorship As It Ignores Its Own Bias
GlennFrancoSimmons
by GlennFrancoSimmons  2-22-2009
The Toledo Bladeless Blunder shows us how the moronically biased mainstream media can be by providing us with an inexplicably self-contradictory editorial. The scatterbrained thought processes that led to this embarrassing abomination are illuminating because they provide proof to the assertion, which I have made myself, that there will be attacks against conservative talk radio, despite President Obama's statement that he does not support a return to the so-called Fairness Doctrine. (Remember his promise, err, lie, about campaign funding?) Actually, the president is disingenuous because he knows the attack will be subtle, and my point is proven by the dim-witted Toledo Bladeless Blunder editorial board brain trust that has been sipping the liberal mainstream tonic a bit too much. The editorial's first three graphs prove my point. What star-crossed geniuses they have at The Toledo Bladeless Blunder, which lacks intellectual honesty and clarity concerning talk-radio's his

Ohio sheriff says ice floe-stranded fishermen 'idiots'
ofcapri
by ofcapri  2-7-2009    1
"Where is the common sense when they know the ice is broken?" Ottawa County, Ohio, Sheriff Bob Bratton told the Toledo Blade, estimating the cost of the sheriff's office response at $25,000. Bratton told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that the fishermen displayed poor judgment in building a makeshift bridge to get from one section of the ice to the other. "I have no problem with people ice fishing, but these idiots should realize that when you see open water, you should not build a bridge and cross it," he said. "It's a shame you can't arrest people for stupidity."

Obama To Combat “Joe The Plumber” With Average Americans Of His Own
merrie
by merrie  11-2-2008    1
... and Joe Biden starts to knock him around, carping that no real plumber makes $250K. Biden calls Joe the Plumber "the 250 guy," with the plumber now mum on his income. He just says he would like to make that much. The plumber was quoted in the hometown Toledo Blade thusly about Obama's "spread the wealth" cutoff of $250K: "That's a pretty socialist comment. Two-fifty ($250,000) is his number now. When is it going to be one fifty ($150,000), when it's going to be one hundred ($100,000) ?" He's far from the first one to apply the term, of course. Google "socialist" and Obama. You'll be awash in hits. Recently actor Jon Voight wrote this: If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way. http://dallasmorningviewsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/10/joe-the-plumber-2.html

Early polls near the site were only scheduled to be open until 5 p.m., but Ohio Governor Ted Strickland told the crowd that he wanted so many people to show up that “at midnight tonight and at 2 a.m., tomorrow morning people will still be in line registering their votes for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.”

Joe the Plumber May Lose His Right to Vote.
citizenbfk
by citizenbfk  10-27-2008    4
Republican Joe might lose his right to vote due to another tactic of Republican voter suppression. Why? Because he name is misspelled. Misspelled by an election official when he registered. Misspelled by one letter. As this clip says: "disenfranchisement by typo." This happen to Jose Lopez-Sandin. The election official typed in his name as 'Joseph." This happen to Anne Nguyen. The election official typed her name as: "Ann." You would think such a thing would be no problem. No. You would think it could be corrected, right now, a few weeks before the elections; or even right there at the voting place. No. So, at least, such a voter could fill out a 'provisional ballot' and that solves the problem. No. Provisional ballots get rejected at an extremely high rate. You think stupid things like this (also, like having your home address with a typo), you would think the law would be changed. No. Republicans like this type of voter suppression that mainl
