POPSTexas Appellant Court ruling appalling
In the world of the FLDS, "spiritual marriage" between older men and underage girls — what the law defines as rape — is given the stamp of religious approval. Of 53 girls believed to be between 14 and 17, more than 30 have children or are pregnant, including one who gave birth to her second child in custody. Among the boys, too, there is suspicion of widespread physical abuse. Indeed, many teenage boys are routinely banished to preserve the odds of polygamy. Nevertheless, what do we make of an entire sect that has sexual abuse at its very heart? That believes plural "marriages" between older men and underage women are not an aberration but a pathway to heaven? Nobody can prosecute the FLDS for what they believe, says Marci Hamilton, author of God vs. the Gavel. "They can stay together and believe what they want into eternity. What they can't do is illegal action." In the end, what we have on that ranch in Eldorado is not a lifestyle. It's a pedophile ring.

POPSCourt Rules in Favor of Texas Sect Parents, CPS Overstepped Authority Just like I said and posted previous. The CPS Nazis raid had no merit based upon rules of evidence. The media was complicit in their inflammatory and one-sided reporting. The State has no right to separate children from parents unless their is hard evidence of imminent threat, which is rational and the law.

POPSTexas Sect "Abused Teen" Caller a Fraud Obviously this woman is not a teen. The Texas authorities requested her arrest documents to be sealed, the article says at bottom. Why? So that the truth would not disturb their legally questionable procedures. The AP got it unsealed, but everyone is pretending as if it does not matter. The pattern of this woman in her fake calls of abuse suggests a conspiracy to make false accusations in order to justify inflammatory claims and proceedings.

POPSCato Institute Warns of Unjust Texas Sect Trial and Child Custody Seizure The Texas polygamist sect trial is dangerous precedent. This must-hear 9 minute Cato podcast warns about government exceeding its authority and the dangerous precedent of its unchecked powers (including CPS) where there is clearly a lack of evidence for the inflammatory claims. 400 children, most under 5, are being separated from their parents without any substantiation of claims of abuse, and the initial call was a fabrication from an impostor. This is an excellent presentation of the facts with sober analysis of a violation of government power and a very dangerous legal precedent is being established where the laws of evidence are being trampled. (How would you react if CPS or the government took your children based upon false accusations and distorted information?) Note also, as he states, that as of 2004, marriage was lawful in Texas down to 14 years of age, with parental consent. Click link

POPSFundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Date Saints Followers Rape Teenage Girls (added after the seventh comment below): the accommodation test: for Christian or 'Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' try substituting X or Y, e.g. atheist, buddhist, conservative, hindu... Editing, narrating, conjoining words, a few words, though based on 'facts' can stir outrage, pain, offence etc.

POPSPolygamist Sentence: 10 Years to Life in Prison We've been watching this scene unfold for quite a while. This group routinely dumped unwanted teen-aged boys in St. George Utah, who end up on the streets (Lost Boys). Some are being taken in by other (straight) Mormon families. Jeffs' group is building a large compound in Texas, which has ruffled the locals there (they fly over it and take surveillance photos).
