POPSChristian teacher 'forced out' after complaining Muslim pupils praised 9/11 hijackers 'as heroes' Mr Kafouris, a Greek Cypriot, taught for 12 years at Bigland Green Primary School in Tower Hamlets, East London. According to Ofsted 'almost all' its 465 pupils are from ethnic minorities and a vast proportion do not speak English as a first language. The teacher claims racial discrimination by the school, its headmistress and her assistant head after they failed to take action about the comments made by pupils to him. He said there was a change in attitude of the pupils after the atrocities of September 11, 2001. They told him: 'We hate the Christians' and 'We hate the Jews', despite his attempts to stop them. He said he filled out a Racist Incident Reporting Sheet but claimed headmistress Jill Hankey dismissed his concerns. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk

POPSWhy Obama's Communist Connections Are Not Headlines America is vulnerable to varying degrees of collectivism, wealth redistribution, "creeping socialism" (Ronald Reagan's phrase), class-warfare rhetoric, and generally milder, more palatable (but still dangerous) forms of disguised Marxism. Why? How? The answer is simple: The history and truth about communism is not taught by our educators.

POPSThe Christmas Bomber Speaks … Finally
The intelligence he possessed was perishable. Each moment that passed that he was not speaking meant lost counterterrorism opportunities. Every hour, every day, every week that went by gave them precious time to close bank accounts, e-mail addresses, phone numbers he knew about, and shut down training camps, safe houses, and other intelligence leads he could have given us. Terrorists he knew about have been put into hiding, and other leads that were hot in the days immediately following his capture have since gone cold. The mishandling of Abdulmutallab’s questioning is an intelligence failure of massive proportions. And it highlights the problem with the Obama administration’s approach to terrorist interrogation. The administration’s approach is built on a law-enforcement model unsuited for the challenges of the war on terror. Here is why: In law enforcement, interrogators generally question terrorists after an attack (or in the case of Abdulmutallab, an attempted attack)

POPSEngland is 'cesspit' breeding Islamists, says Nobel prize winner Soyinka added: "This is part of the character of Great Britain. Colonialism bred an innate arrogance, but when you undertake that sort of imperial adventure, that arrogance gives way to a feeling of accommodativeness. You take pride in your openness." The attempted Christmas Day bombing has helped to raise fears that some British universities are becoming places in which young Muslims are radicalised – Abdulmutallab attended University College, London. But Soyinka, who splits his time between the US and Nigeria, suggested that British Muslims were being radicalised earlier in their lives.

POPSUS citizens may be murdered by their government WTF ? What about innocent until proven guilty ? I seem to remember western law has been based on protection from arbitrary punishment since The Magna Carta or there abouts. It`s particularly alarming as a top US military chap in Afghanistan said that most of their intelligence was `fantasy`. And people complain about Iran and Venezuela ?

POPSBombs & Beatings Unbelievable article - proves to me that we are definitely doing the right thing by ridding the world of this terrorist band - may they all rot in Hell for all eternity.

POPSLAW ENFORCEMENT VS TERRORISM McConnell said that eight years after the September 11 attacks, the nation is continually reminded of the need to remain vigilant. “In September we learned of a plot to bomb the New York City subway,” McConnell said. “Soon after that, there was the tragic massacre at Ft. Hood. Then, on Christmas Day, there was the failed attempt by a foreign-born terrorist to kill nearly 300 innocent civilians in a commercial airliner in the skies over Detroit. “Our elected leaders have no greater duty than that of protecting the American people from harm, The Obama administration’s policy of having the FBI read the Miranda rights to terrorists captured on the battlefield in Afghanistan is “outrageous,” Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) told CNSNews.com. “To me, this is the most outrageous notion I have ever heard,” said Inhofe. “These people are terrorists, they don’t have rights, they don’t belong to a country that is identifiable.”

POPSHolder Admits To Decision To Charge Abdulmutallab As A Criminal
Then there's Jennifer Daskal -- who just months ago was an anti-Guantanamo activist. Now she's in Justice's National Security Division -- working on detainee issues. All kinds of rules prohibit government employees from influencing policy to the benefit of their previous employers. If Katyal, Daskal and other conflicted Justice lawyers had worked for corporations, they'd almost certainly be subject to these regulations. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are hopping mad about the situation -- and rightly so. Months ago, Senate Judiciary Committee member Charles Grassley asked Attorney General Eric Holder to disclose who in the administration had previously represented or agitated for alleged terrorists. The AG's reply? "I will consider that request." In other words, f*** you. Put simply, the far left ACLU hacks appear to be controlling the Justice Department and the counterterrorism policies of this administration. And the President himself has abdicated ....

POPSTerror attack on US 'certain,' Senate told I saw this assessment this morning and it was very sobering. So, now the Senate has been 'told', I hope the same message of potential attacks, over-all danger, and the absolute necessity of each of us being on the alert is also being broadcast. I bet the security at the Super Bowl will be high. But who can protect against an underwear bomber or a woman with an explosive device stuck up her behind?

POPSScientists warn solar activity could hit London 2012 Olympic Games Presumably it would be wise to shut down the Internet for a couple of weeks at least? There could be no flying, either. That would take a lot of planning. There is, as yet, no evidence that any such planning is taking place. For terrorists, it would be a great time to cause mayhem, too. POPSGreenwald (1/31/10): Nostalgia for Bush/Cheney radicalism Thanks to Marcy Wheeler, "emptywheel" at Firedoglake, for the link to this very fine post. In it Greenwald makes the very potent argument that the trend in the current political establishment is to demand less of the rule of law in the fight against terrorists than either President Reagan or G.W. Bush. These policy stances are cast as normal, while support for criminal trials, adherence to habeas corpus, etc. are cast as those of "the leftist fringe." It is becoming a sad day for America that we have seem to have less respect for civil liberties than was shown in the Reagan and Bush administrations.
