POPSDr. Phil I felt like I was "looking" at myself. I was hearing ALL of the words that I haven't been able to say! Most of the time, I feel too tired to "think" and...can't.

POPSGetting You To Eat Crap So, you can see how some people might think, “Well, maybe I should try this crap instead of cheeseburger today. Maybe I’m just missing something.” Still, despite all the media attempts to confuse people, at the end of the day most people are going to say, “That’s crap and that’s a cheeseburger. I don’t eat crap; I eat cheeseburgers.” And that’s why Republicans win. Well… in other election years.

POPSrecipe: rice cooker bibimbap with salmon and spinach Directions too long to clip - click through for them. Sounds tasty. We don't tend to keep kim chi on hand, but I think this might be quite tasty if taken in a slightly more Japanese direction -- and we're a lot more likely to have pickled ginger in the fridge.

POPSin praise of REAL fruitcake Not those nasty commercial things that are better used as doorstops than as food, this is real fruitcake made with real fruit and real liquor. Yum. Don't miss the comments, as there are a number of tasty-sounding recipes there as well.

POPSEver Make Healthy Soda? Kimberly has really gotten into making her own lacto-fermented sodas. I know that might sound kinda weird, but they are really tasty AND good for you. She has made blackberry, peach, strawberry and even blueberry soda. Kimberly basically makes soda out of any fruit she gets her hands on. That's not such a bad thing for us, since we get to drink it. In our most photo rich issue we have ever come out with, Kimberly shows us the art of making your own Blueberry Soda. Have any frozen blueberries or other fruit? Give it a try.... http://www.learningherbs.com/news_issue_20.html

POPSrecipe for a heart attack (but probably tasty) The person who linked to this suggested replacing the jelly with Nutella, which sounds really good. A commenter later in the thread added, "I just happened to have some bacon, Hershey's bars and a kaiser roll handy. I tested it with just the above ingredients. Then I added some butter. Then some peanut butter. The complete version was excellent. So were the other partial versions. Ok, let's be honest here. Chocolate is awesome. Bacon too. add anything you want to that combo and you are good to go and considered a gourmet cook as far as I am concerned."
