POPSReading tarot cards - dancing with the devil, or does it really work? There is much speculation as to whether or not Tarot reading is legitimate. Indeed there are many arguments for, and against this mystical pastime. What is your thoughts and views? personally I am quite open minded and would like to believe there are more things which we dont understand about the world and mind

POPSFreedom Man - All Charges dropped against street performer This is an interesting case for "progressive" very white Santa Cruz Ca. It includes a victory in court, after a demoralizing crazy case. It also shows the stark reality of racism, corruption, and injustice in 2008. Jason, a black man was given stay away orders initially from the mall, but could still shop -- if he used the back door. POPSAntipolygraph.org Hardly startling or revolutionary information, yet do to the number of people I encounter that consider the polygraph a valid means of lie detection I felt it was worth clipping.

POPSPeriodic Tarot of Elements Calyxa has developed a divination deck based on the periodic table of elements. As she explains below: "he Elemental Hexagons deck is based on the Periodic Table of the Elements. The modern periodic table as of the end of 2006 lists 117 known elements, and hypothesizes the existence of an unknown total of others. The Elemental Hexagons deck consists of 60 cards; the first 30 from the table, and 30 others of significance. Every element in the deck was discovered previous to 1900, and each can be found outside of a laboratory environment." It's an interesting concept. Might have to order a deck for myself. via Boing Boing
