POPSFreedom and Jeff: Inspiring Story of One Man and His Eagle
She was going to be put down that Friday, and I was supposed to come in on that Thursday afternoon. I didn’t want to go to the center that Thursday, because I couldn’t bear the thoughtof her being euthanized; of her being euthanized; but I went anyway, and when I walked in everyone was grinning from ear to ear. I went immediately back to her cage; and there she was, standing on her own, a big beautiful eagle. She was ready to live. I was just about in tears by then. That was a very good day. We knew she could never fly, so the director asked me to glove train her. I got her used to the glove, and then to jesses, and we started doing education programs for schools in western Washington. We wound up in the newspapers, on radio (believe it or not) and some TV. Miracle Pets even did a show about us. In the spring of 2000, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I had stage 3, which is not good (one major organ plus everywhere) doing 8 months of chemo.

I just found Blanche Williams today. I like her life philosophy: "Success happens by choice, not chance." My business philosophy is the same, when helping people in my area with their online advertising. I say your Life's Work should never be taken for granted. Never give up. Choose to be great! "Become what you think you are". As it relates to a person's website, their business message online for the world to "see" and find their services, I say, "Your Business did not come about by chance. It was by deliberate design. Get your message heard and in front of those who need your services with "online design". Hence, my moniker "onlinedesign". I think all things that are great in this world are by design. I really don't think anything worthwhile is left to chance. You CAN become what you want to be. I love highlighting and Clipping people like Blanche Williams. Granted, she's a promoter. But the substance of what she promotes is inspiring and needed.

POPSToby Keith: Obama Talks, Acts and Carries Himself as a Caucasian So it seems that the idea of "acting white" isn't confined to blacks. midknightryder13 commented at Huffington Post: n the musical "My Fair Lady" (and for that matter 'Pygmalion', the play on which it is based) -- Henry Higgins laments "Why Can't the English Learn How to Speak." The point of the song (and for that matter the premise of the play) is that the way one carries oneself and speaks is indicative of one's social class. However, Toby Keith has apparently fallen in with the incorrect assumption that class divisions are solely a function of ethnicity. Such treacle. BO is carrying himself and acting as befits someone who has been educated at Harvard. Speaking 'proper English', carrying himself with bearing and dignity. That's not 'white' -- that's IVY LEAGUE! Gee, a HARVARD GRADUATE 'acting' like he's Ivy League. Go figure.

POPSHouse Republicans Gas "Talkathon" To Continue Monday "But the American people are suffering,” Boehner and Blunt said in the memo. “The consequences of continued congressional inaction on gas prices are unacceptable. We’ve called on the Speaker to call Congress back into an emergency session this month and schedule a vote on the American Energy Act. We must continue to make a stand until the Speaker complies.” Update - Neither Boehner nor Blunt are expected to be in attendance at Monday's talkfest, and its unclear if they will show up at any point during the week. Rush is politically savvy; Pelosi is politically cunning. Rush confronts government gridlock; Pelosi creates it. Rush gives solutions; Pelosi ground-n-pounds them. Rush says to drill here and drill now; Pelosi says not to drill now or later. Rush motivates Americans to action; Pelosi paralyzes the House to inaction. I would bet Rush has had more positive influence on Congress through the years by his broadcasts than Pelosi ever will from her House throne. He is a leader among that league of extraordinary gentlemen and conservative cultural crusaders -- such as Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Dick Morris, Newt Gingrich, Ann Coulter, John Kasich and Frank Pastore, to name a few. I pray that we ultimately inspire a new generation of patriots with a fire like Patrick Henry had rather than what Nancy Pelosi has.

Circus would be more like it. A circus of caged, tortured and worse.This government, if one can call it that, must be very afraid. I am afraid of this kind of " institution ". Sooner, rather than later, we who oppose this sham, might also get into the " show ". Patriotism is what they call that! No wonder the Arabs, and many others, have trouble believing in American Democracy. Are you having trouble yet? Or do you need more?
