POPSTwitter Talks Data With Microsoft, Google — All Things Digital All this without tarnishing the noisy service as a shill, because it lets you listen to only what you want. The deals would be nonexclusive and may not happen, All Things Digital reports " which only feeds the casual cred Twitter has been cultivating, taking its time about coming up with a business model that produces operating revenue, while it rakes in VC money at a level that values the three-year-old private company at about $1 billion. The “Let them do it” philosophy works like a charm for Twitter, whose content comes from the general public and whose best interfaces come from third-party developers making full use of the company’s freely available API. Along with the recently announced “lists” initiative, Twitter seems to be carefully setting the table so that partners can leverage its data " and the way it is organized " to enter new markets, while it sits back and maintains a server farm.

POPSArmy Raid Finds Cash Addressed to Police and Press In June, nearly 80 police officers suspected of working with drug smugglers were arrested in 18 towns. Since then, Monterrey police have been banned from sitting in parked cars or using cell phones while on duty because of concerns they may be acting as lookouts for gangs. Police in Mexico’s third-largest city have also been prohibited from setting up sobriety checkpoints because they allegedly used them to extort motorists. Earlier this year, the Cancun police chief was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the assassination of an army brigadier general hired to root out corruption in the city. President Felipe Calderon has acknowledged that corruption permeates Mexican police at all levels. He has relied on the army to fight ruthless drug cartels, deploying tens of thousands of soldiers across the country since taking office in late 2006. Gang violence has since surged, claiming more than 13,500 lives.

POPSSocialites Without Borders Teach Rwandans How To Mingle
Arriving on private jets from their headquarters in Martha's Vineyard, volunteers from Socialites Without Borders touched down in northern Rwanda early Sunday morning. Following an extravagant luncheon held in their honor, the charitable luminaries were driven by limousine to a nearby refugee camp, where they provided impoverished villagers with emergency lessons in everything from making small talk, to name-dropping, to drastically improving one's life by marrying a wealthy steel magnate. "Always remember to keep things light and breezy when mingling," Danielle Watters, a real estate heiress, was overheard advising a group of war-ravaged amputees. "Talk about where you recently summered, or what boarding school you went to. When you feel at a loss for words, perhaps try remarking on the stunning architecture of the tent you're in." POPSSurvive eating out with kids It is possible. Maybe not probable but you can do it...go out to a nice dinner with kids. I remember the days when Taco Bell was dining out with our kids. That was part due to the fact that they would want the $20 hamburger or burrito anyway. So why go through the stress and pay for it too? Fortunately, as our kids got older, they could sit still long enough to use some manners and enjoy a nice dinner out. Our most useful tactic was to take them out one by one and focus on the relationship, engaging the child in conversation and role modeling appropriate dining out etiguette. Take a closer look at the article below and share your dining out experiences be they good, bad or ugly!

POPSBlack Hole created in US lab more: Professor Zhang and colleagues are experts in metamaterials and their latest creation is the most impressive yet: modeling black holes by taking "analogy" out of writing and into actual hard science. By designing a metamaterial whose reaction to light looks the same as another phenomena, you can effectively examine that phenomena. This is because "looks like" isn't based on color, or shape, but on having exactly the same equations defining its motion - so that it no longer matters if it's because of metamaterials reaction to light or general relativity's to matter. By setting up this "optical-mechanical analogy" you can study an all-consuming gravitational crusher in a simple chip of material.

POPSObama's Jan. 13th Neocon Dinner with William Kristol, founder of the Project for a New American Century and son of Irving Kristol, the "father of neoconservatism" (who also first coined the term for them) and Charles Krauthammer (PNAC member) and two other conservatives. The self-labeled neoconservatives were the authors of the Iraq War which Obama insists he opposed. Actually, Obama should feel very comfortable supping with the Neocons since they are originally from the Left , not the Right. That's right, just like leaders of US world wars to "make the world safe for democracy", like Presidents Wilson and FDR (both Dems). They are RINOs. "Setting the table", so to speak, for Obama no doubt. Really now, why would Obama dine with them? Actually, the host, George Will is more of a libertarian conservative and supported Ron Paul for President, so it is good that he was there, but in bad company.

POPSIsrael Raids Gaza, Hamas Fires Back "Rocket Attacks on Israel" is what U.S. headlines will read, as if Israel did nothing to provoke this. (Already the radio is painting it as attacks on Israel without the full context). 1. Israel has blockaded Gaza (starving Palestinians) since June 2007 2. Israel violated the cease-fire by their military raid which killed militants on their own side of the border. (What would hypocritical Israel say to Hamas raiding within their border? Do they expect Hamas to disarm within Gaza?) So should Hamas, acting to defend Palestinians in Gaza do nothing? What would you do? So as the American elections close Israel is "setting the table" (agenda) for Obama, playing the victim when they are the aggressor. Note the "drone air attack" Israel used, as does the U.S. within the sovereign country of Pakistan. Drone attacks are cowardly, and aggression made cheap.

POPS"Words Matter" And My Words Mean Whatever I Want Them To Mean! (if you don't agree then you're a racist) Small businesses are vital to the American economy and Americans’ livelihoods, and it sounds like Obama wants to tax as many as he possibly can.

POPSPelosi Tells The Nation Magazine Why She Won't Impeach---boggle, boggle
WTF is she talking about? "He's not a leader. He has no judgment, he has no knowledge, he has no plan. I've been saying that for a year." Well, who the hell hasn't been saying that - and better - for longer? Did we elect you to say stuff? He had a plan and has seen it through. Can you say the same? "Here's the thing. This is how I see it as Nancy Pelosi, not in my role as Speaker... why I ran for leadership and the rest. I was not setting out to win for two years. I did not want there to be any doubt in anybody's mind that this is going to be a long standing, get used to it, strong Democratic majority." So the point of winning in 06 was to win in 08 and the point of winning in 08 was, etc...., but how does that answer the question you were asked above about shirking your duty to govern in between elections? "So, in my head '06 was first, and then in '08 we strengthen and increase, In 2010, there's a little ebbing--assuming we have a Democratic President--and tha
