Lake Taal is large enough to have the city of Singapore sit within it. This is a lake at the top of a volcanic cone which is sited on Volcano Island which is located within Lake Taal seen just beyond the rim of this island. Mt. Makulot is seen in the distance.
This is the only means to visit the Volcano Island. Often the waters are calm but can be rough when strong winds blow across waters. However no danger of capsizing because of outriggers.
This is a beautiful pix showing Lake Taal which is about 30km long and 14km wide. Volcano Island within the lake has a volcano cone within which is another small lake.
