POPSCandy light bulbs bring holiday cheer to dollar store shoppers
Nearly every person in the store looked like they just came from the Jerry Springer audience. There were a lot of old sweatshirts with cliche sayings or Looney Tunes characters on them, bottle blondes who needed to touch up their roots, men who looked like Todd from Beavis and Butt-head loading up on Christmas gifts for their families, and many people who looked like they only came in there to hang out because they had nowhere else to go. As we passed one suspicious looking man, my friend remarked, “Everyone in here looks like they’ve done time.” As if by some scripted coincidence, seconds later, a woman in the next isle remarked loudly, “Well, I’m finally allowed to see my kids again, so...” before trailing off. POPSFibromyalgia - Coping with Changing Weather If you have an house like mine the draft of the wind comes in and even makes being inside cold. There are a few ways that I try to stay warm and keep my muscles moving and warm to avoid even more stiffness than what happens. I keep a heating pad near me to put on under the blanket when I am watching TV at night. I like to have that extra warmth and I move the heating pad to different areas to let the heat soak into my body. I also invested some massage oil and rub that into my hands, arms, neck, and legs sometimes to help keep the muscles loose. I also make sure I wear warm clothing when I go outside. I always, any time of year, start my morning with a hot shower. So don’t let the change in weather get you down, go out and enjoy it to the fullest. Just make sure to warm those bones and muscles. Keep dressed warmly and curl up with a warm blanket. Always remember to take time out of life to do something special for yourself. You deserve it!
