POPSThe DailyKos reaction to the Fort Hood shooting How do you get this stupid? You have to work hard at it. You have to wake up everyday and carefully consider what you will listen to and what you will have to stare at with an expression of blank incomprehension to remain this dense. And then you need to go on the Daily Kos and write misconceptions about those who disagree with you politically. It’s almost scary to see people this willfully stupid and this angry, This is a screenshot. I don't want links to Kos in my clips.

POPSWe need less efficientcy, IMHO I like this rant from a comment to a Cary Tennis column. Why must everything be efficient? I dunno. I don't want to be, I just want to be effective.

POPS Ford Beats Government Motors AP story: "Ford Reports Surprise $1 Billion Profit. Automaker now expects to be solidly profitable in 2011." But then you get halfway down the story: "But Ford still faces obstacles in its turnaround. Last week workers overwhelmingly rejected an agreement with the United Auto Workers that would have brought Ford's labor costs in line with rivals General Motors and Chrysler. Workers objected to clauses limiting their right to strike and freezing entry-level wages and felt the company was healthy enough and didn't need further concessions." So this headline, "Ford Reports Surprise $1 Billion Profit" needs to be rewritten: "Ford Surprises by Having a Profit. Angry unions vow to redouble efforts to sink the automaker."

POPSDetainees at Club Gitmo Getting H1N1 Vaccine Before You Well, why the hell not.....they already have personal chefs, cable TV and free movies. I'm sure that between prayer time on their new prayer rugs and beach volleyball tournaments they can manage to fit the vaccinations into their grueling schedules. How about we send the liberals down there to administer the H1N1 personally since they already have such high regard for those murdering terrorists.....

POPSLipstick on a Pig Nancy also babbled something about how any taxpayer money being used to pay for the public option would be repaid and how the public option would drive down costs. Because, you see, government is famous for paying taxes back to us and decreasing the cost of stuff. It’s what they’re known for. Wasserman-Schultz said that Pelosi plans to “go and test drive” the new term “competitive option” when she heads back to DC. Goody!!! I’m sure all of us feeble-brained Americans will fall for it, and think it’s a brand spanking new plan. Ya gotta love our leadership’s faith in us!

POPSOctober new deadliest month for US in Afghanistan Our enemies are not stupid....really. Step up the attacks just before the election involving a strong supporter of the military & one who isn't. Make the American people believe that it's not worth the fight. Now, with the "dithering" President ignoring his commanders in the field, with morale dropping over there, and a beautiful day for more golf...time to step up the attacks again.

POPSThe idiocy of claiming non belief is belief This is a common argument presented by the two trolls willhelm and darkeforce. In their world up is down, down is up, and after smearing poop on their own face they point at other people and call them shitheads. It's a world of redefining terms to suit their needs, cherry picking the foundation of their religion (the bible) to shore up their beliefs, and a pathological need to project their own requirements of blind faith on other people. It's the only way they can level the playing field when they know what irrational nuts they sound like when trying to defend their claims. Their only recourse - an ad hominem false equivalency approach in order to appear equal.

POPS"No Shot" Wackos If you had something that's proven to prevent disease and suffering, you'd get it for the people you love the most — your children, wouldn't you? But suddenly, a bunch of cranks start saying its some kind of government plot, and people buy it, putting themselves, their children and everyone they come into contact with in danger? That's just stupid... dangerously stupid. The exact same technology and techniques that are protecting your children from diseases like polio and whooping cough are in those 'flu vaccines. It isn't anything new or dangerous, so get over your paranoia already... especially since the government is offering the shots for free! So leave your paranoia and conspiracy theories at home, and protect the people you care about. Get the inoculations, and stop being silly.

POPSObama offers millions in muslim technology fund Yeah? Stupid. The results will be : a) 3/4 will be skimmed off by corrupt officials b) the rest will be spent on developing primitive tools to destroy us or prevent us from attacking them effectively. Please understand... muslims are incapable of building or creating anything. They only know how to destroy and kill.

POPSOn becoming invisible More: I abandoned my cart, walked over to Customer Service, and asked if I could have a comment form to fill out. The Customer Service employee—who, bless his heart, could see me—said they didn’t have a comment form, but he listened to my complaint… He told me that if I wanted to talk to the Assistant Manager…I could deliver my complaint in person. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that the Assistant Manager had been one of the guys who couldn’t see me. What the hell. It was worth a try. I walked over to the Assistant Manager. When I was just a few feet away from him, I stopped, planted my cane, and looked directly at him. Damned if I wasn’t still invisible. It was weird—he was a tall man, but when his eyes moved from one side to the other I could see them making an upward bump in their travel path when they were passing over me. He refused to look directly at me for even a second. I kept looking straight at him. There was no way he could have missed me.

POPSTown Hall protesters are nativists, not racists More: Just consider how utterly stupid and idiotic conservatives seem to serious Democrats when they smugly tell each other that progressives and Democrats are all really “fascists” because they support a variety of mild social-democratic polices. Within their closed ideological bubble the conservatives feel quite certain that they have achieved a deep psychological insight by recognizing that latent Adolph Hitlers lie just beneath the surface of everyone from Teddy Kennedy to Robert Redford and Jane Goodall. They actually sit around and pat themselves on the back for their penetrating aptitude at psychological analysis. This is exactly how stupid progressives and Democrats appear to culturally conservative Americans when they label as “racism” beliefs that these Americans know are in reality vastly different and more complex.

POPSReal Slime: An Open Letter To Bill Maher
But the most pathetic thing is when you expose your lack of education (both formal and informal) with your crackpot “theories.” This was no more evident than in the season finale of Real Time this past friday, where you asserted that it was doctors and patients “colluding together” to “corrupt” the healthcare system. This statement was so absurd and bizarre that your entire guest panel (all liberals) and even your reliably sycophantic studio audience just stared at you in disbelief. After three seconds of uncomfortable silence both the audience and panel (that included Chris Matthews and Alec Baldwin) erupted in laughter—not with you, but AT you. Things unraveled further when you launched into a diatribe defending more stupid comments you’d made the previous week about vaccines being “dangerous medical procedures.” Both Matthews and Baldwin were visibly disgusted by this, which resulted in Matthews aggressively confronting you and making you look like an idiot—again.

POPS"Fat Talk" Not Spoken Here Fat Talk Free Week encourages women to strive for a healthy ideal and take care of their bodies by focusing on health – not weight or size. The campaign encourages women to let go of the fat talk that plagues our every day conversations and promotes a celebration of things about ourselves that have nothing to do with the way we look. Breaking free from the unrealistic thin ideal of beauty has never been more urgent. Did you know that: * 1 out of 8 adolescent girls reported starving themselves to lose weight * 40% of moms tell their adolescent daughters to diet and 45% of these girls are of average weight * 81% of 10 year old girls are afraid of being fat * 51% of 9 and 10 year old girls feel better about themselves if they are on a diet * More than 2/3 of women ages 18-25 would rather be mean or stupid than be fat * Over 50% of women ages 18-25 would rather be hit by a truck than be fat * 70 million people worldwide struggle with eating disord
