POPSTrillions in debt-No answers from Obama or McCain Leon Panetta, former budget director and chief of staff in the Clinton White House, recommended delaying or abandoning a lot of campaign promises. "The American people are not stupid," he said. "The real question is whether the leadership of this country will have the honesty to tell people what the real situation is."

POPSMcCain to use "Yo Momma" Insults in Debate From 23/6: With an unrepentant economy and Sarah Palin satires dominating the news, several new tracking polls show Barack Obama widening his lead over John McCain anywhere from 14 points at the NYT/CBS Polls to 101 points at MSNBC, taken between the Countdown and Rachel Maddow Shows. Only at Fox News where they show a narrow 3 point margin for McCain in the BillOReilly.com "Phones Are Poppin'" Poll that asked the Folks™ to choose between McCain and a Muslin Comrade of a Terrorist, does McCain hold a lead. "Obviously thing are looking a bit dire," said McCain spokesman, Tucker Bounds, "so you can expect Senator McCain to take off the gloves at tonight's debate. In actuality, someone will probably help him take off those gloves just before the debate, but he will be well-prepared to be aggressive, no matter the issue."

POPSReligious Stupidity Now we find out that albinos in Burundi are being killed for their body parts to help people find gold. No doubt, strange behavior. But most religions hold fantastical beliefs that are completely divorced from reality. The major difference being they usually don't result in the death of innocents.

POPSOct.14th: Obama Leads McCain by 14 points.
The Republican trolls who have suddenly appeared here on clipmarks, whining lies about links between Obama and domestic terrorist (Ha!) and Obama and Voter Fraud (Ha!) seem to be wasting their time. The classic political idea appears to hold true: "It's the economy, stupid." Eight years of Republican mismanagement, lies, failure to kill or capture bin Laden, leading the nation into the wrong war for the wrong reasons, the deregulation of the banks that led to this economic meltdown, etc. -- all these events and facts have more traction and truth that hollow and desperate allegations of the trolls here and the whining of the right-wing media. Not only have Republicans shredded our Constitution, violate our Civil Rights, mislead us into another false war with deliberately fabricated lies, failed to avenge 9/11, destroyed our economy -- but now it's shown that they are also sore losers. Sore Losers, and their party is going down the tubes. Vote & Advocate Obama. 21 days left

POPSThe Republican War on Voting (& DOJ firings)
This article is a good overview of Republican tactics to suppress the vote and exactly what they are doing now with challenging ACORN's voter registration efforts. Be Aware: This is not an overnight or one season campaign; it started seriously focused on ACORN back in 2000 and it's intention is to eventually see this group put out of business. This case in MO also shows the link in the Republican illegal firing of U.S. Attorneys, which led to DA Gonzales having to resign last year and is a case being pursued by the FBI. In summary, as clipped here, the Republicans fired state DA's who wouldn't play along with them and go along with these voter challenges. Two more points: ACORN is not a Democratic or Obama organization but targeted by Republicans because they advocate for poor and minority interest. #2 Since Voting Day has not arrived there can not even be any voter fraud yet -- nobody's voted. All this propaganda is about registration forms & stupid, Mickey Mouse nonse

POPSWhy Are So Many Voters So Easily Fooled?
Why Are So Many Voters So Easily Fooled? I've asked myself, that question many times... Of course with no answers. I'm not alone. There are people who posses a worldly depth of knowledge and still wind up scratching their heads in great bewilderment upon seeking an explanation on why people vote against their own personal BEST INTEREST! I've noticed of late, that the progressive TV pundits are now placing these voters in a group calling them, Low Informational Voters. How genteel! See more about this newly coined phrase, here: http://www.freezerbox.com/archive/article.php?id=557 I'm not nearly that refined so I can call a-spade a-spade... LOW INFORMATION VOTER, my foot... It's just the old fashioned, plain old, brown paper wrapping... STUPID, my man! The last paragraph of the freezerbox article above, says it all! (Old adages like "You can lead a horse to water" and "pearls before swine" will provide scant solace. There's only so much you can do when a large segment of the elec

POPSMcCain Lied about William Ayers I posted a clip earlier about how Sarah Palin will grasp at any opportunity to lie about Obama. McCain is doing the same thing, despite proof to the contrary. I have never understood how anyone can be stupid enough to lie about something that can so easily be proven. America cannot afford to have people of this low character to represent us. Contiued embarrassment.

POPSRacist Obama billboard causes outrage This is NOT FREE SPEECH, this is slander. Whoever put this sign up could be against these things but the minute he implies that there is a person pursuing these things without proof then he is committing slander against Obama. Read your constitution and understand that free speech does not mean insulting or attacking people. Ignorance is not illegal but it should be recognized and spotlighted wherever it is found.

POPSAre American Voters Stupid or Rationally Ignorant? Americans vote ignorantly because they willingly limit what they research because there is little incentive for one person who cannot individually make very much difference. This also explains why information from another viewpoint, or party, is rashly dismissed out of hand without consideration or deliberation, for mere convenience. Listen to this short podcast from CATO for the interesting analysis which has alot of merit. This is where Democracy fails, and why Presidents (like Bush) can be elected with less than 23% of potential voters (about 50% eligible do not vote for various reasons, including disgust): the rational decisions of individuals create a dysfunctional collective outcome

POPSClear Republican Voter & PR Machinations
New Yorkers have a chance to vote for Barrack Osama. Having the State Elections Office spelling the names of the candidates correctly is a rather important thing. Three proof readers apparently missed this; we told. My Point is really about another claim of so-called Voter Fraud mentioned frequently on clipmarks: The dastardly ACORN conspiracy to steal the elections by submitting phony names on voter registration cards. Phony names, like: Barrack Osama. The best description of the ACORN accusations, I now realize, is that the Republicans were trying to "make a mountain out of a molehill." -- deliberately whining about this and every stupid thing under the sun, like Obama using the words: "lipstick on a pig," or the bad photo of Palin in Newsweek and Nothing of Substance. I've seen voter fraud. It was a whole voting booth found in the town dump one week after elections. This stuff? Mountains out of molehills to distract and rile up ignorant emotions. Barrack Osama?

POPSPalin and Her Followers are frightening I think that says that you abused your power, if I read correctly. This kind of parsing of words is disingenuous in the extreme. It is also either arrogant or stupid to suggest someone read the report knowing they will find Finding Number One. It is hard to believe that John McCain can be trusted with anything if he is suggesting that we should trust Sarah Palin. Someone who abuses her power by using it to further her personal ends in the context of her sister’s nasty divorce, and sees nothing wrong with it, frightens me. Its like the Mafia, don’t cross a family member, your livelihood and your reputation could be in danger. But then, this is what frightened me about the Bush/Cheney Texas Mafia, so I guess I’m just a weenie.

POPSPanel says Palin abused her authority After seeing the cavalier way that Palin treats everything, it should be no surprise to find out that the Alaska panel found her guilty of abusing her authority in firing an underling who didn't aid her personal agenda in getting an ex-brother-in-law fired. Hopefully this will kill some of the unwarranted support she's gotten for John McCrazy; at least the support from people who aren't just plain stupid.

POPSSarah Palin is a Bitch… there I said it. "Please take your ridiculous hair, your over lipstick-smacking mouth, your Lenscrafter look smarter glasses and your poorly fitted designer jackets back to Alaska. And when you get there, shove a piece of the pipeline up your considerable ass. I’ll be damned if we’ll put our children’s future in your hands. And the same thing goes for McCain - the ass wipe who gave her this national platform effectively pushing the woman’s movement back into the dark ages - knowing McCain that might have been his plan all along." Love it!

POPSThe Sidewalk to Nowhere, McCain Supporters in Bethlehem, PA I'm not even going to mention how wrong these people are regarding their political arguments. Why are people who are obviously not at work themselves deriding other people for not being at work? Seriously? That's just stupid. I wish I could feel more pity for these people since they are so obviously trapped in their own ignorance, fear and hatred. Really, where does that come from? Palin eats hate and winks while playing to the cameras, but McCain should be ashamed that he has fostered this.

POPSMcCain's Racist Code Words McCain is clearly racist. Everytime he says something negative about Barrack Obama in his ads, what appears on screen? A picture of a black man. The prosecution rests.

POPSMcCain Constantly Lies about this Why? Everybody knows he's lying and he still does it. Its ridiculous. True, they both lie but this won is repeated over and over and is demonstrably and obviously false. He really must think the American public is stupid.

POPSPeople trying to Contain Usually Screw thing Up Man, do I hate this kind of political censorship. Its wrong. Its stupid, It always backfires. Get tough. Get a backbone. Freedom of the press especially allows lampooning of all sides. Idiots. The "people who should be shot" are the morons at NBC who are discriminatory in their censorship of humor. Its not like there is a lot done at the expense of the democrats/liberals.

POPSOBAMA DEFENDS 'CREATIONIST PSYCHO BITCH' REMARK "Now that doesn't mean I'm comparing Governor Palin to a pig. What I am saying is that if it's a straight choice between Governor Palin and a pig, I'm fucking the pig. "If I then went on to say that I'd rather fuck a dead pig than Governor Palin, that should not be construed in any way as a personal attack." Senator Obama refused to apologise to the Governor, insisting it would take too long to translate the words into her 'retarded hillbilly language'.

POPS'It's the culture, stupid!' Europe “All that has made European culture and civilization great – the Europe of the thousand cathedrals, the Europe of the custodians of the artistic treasures, of literature and Christian music, the Europe that expressed real solidarity and service to the poor through the emphatic force of Christian charity – found their origins in the Bible,” Oceania Putney, 62, noted the striking cultural contracts in his region, from the highly Western and secular ambience of urban Australia and New Zealand to the staggering variety of indigenous tribal groups in more rural areas and across the islands of Oceania. In Papua New Guinea alone, he noted, there are 847 distinct languages, and overall there are as many as 1,200 different tongues in Oceania.

POPSMcCain Claims Obama Dishonorable & Dangerous This site has been put up by the Obama campaign: http://www.keatingeconomics.com/ This site, above, tells the truth and gives facts about the last banking scandal -- in which John McCain was involved. The guy at the center of the scandal went to jail. McCain got officially censored by the Senate. It's the Republicans who have PROVED themselves dishonorable and dangerous -- who led us into the black stupid hole of Iraq War -- who destroyed our economy. We can't let these warmongers and liars continue to rule our country. We need to Defeat Republicans! Now. Later start the war crime trials and trials for shredding the Constitution and deliberately leading a nation into war based on lies, torture against the Geneva convention, etc. These vampires and blood suckers will not die till we drive a firm stake into their hearts. Every word out of their mouths is false and dangerous. Vote Obama.

POPSScene From a Palin Rally Consider this snapshot from Dana Milbank a companion piece to my morning post . McCain-Palin has abandoned integrity and honor altogether, feeding the worst impulses of their most stupid and hateful supporters. Never again will you read a word in this space giving John McCain the benefit of a doubt or arguing that he should be dealt with respectfully. If respect must be earned, then so can it be lost. John McCain has lost any remaining respect I had for him and, I hope, that of any thinking American. He's allowed himself to be transformed by his ambition into pure scum. And his supporters? The less said about these assholes the better. WelKKKome to John McKKKain's AmeriKKKa...

POPS Cops block traffic to stop erasable chalking event This is the law, been on the books for a while. It doesn't say "chalk" anywhere. They've gone and used it to make sidewalk chalk a crime.
