You can hear much more about the conference at : http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2009/11/legal-conference-on-freedom-of-speech.html#readfurther (and on a much needed lighter note, I had the good fortune to run into Steven Crowder at Dulles Airport last night and got to thank him for his work---he was exactly like he is in the videos---good guy )

POPSBehind Bars the Drama Of Drew Peterson Continues... It should be interesting as Will County prosecutors present facts during the trial while Peterson's defense team of chicken, hot sauce and thighs mixes an enlightening concoction of documents in an attempt to exclude hearsay testimony when the murder trail for Kathleen Savio begins.

POPSSigning Away Our Sovereignty
We should be aware that Obama intends to roll out for Senate approval a series of international treaties that will further bind America to the will of the international community if they are ratified. Bit by bit, America's autonomous power is being taken away. The Boston Globe provides a public relations gloss by calling these treaties a means of fulfilling "Obama's vision of global cooperation." This is one view, I suppose. Another view would be that our policies will be tied down by these treaties -- and we will be judged by international bureaucrats and held to their interpretation of what our obligations are under the treaties. International treaties require only Senate approval. Obama will begin with treaties designed to achieve his vision of a world without nuclear weapons. But that is just the beginning. Efforts will begin to bind America to the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea....This will hurt our nation's ability to mine the world's seas for oil and gas....

POPSParanormal’s story is now legendary ! POPSStudy Says Dabbling in Surrealism can Boost Your Brain Power During the study, Proulx and Steven J. Heine, a professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia asked that participants to read an abridged and slightly edited version of Kafka"s "The Country Doctor," which involves a nonsensical -- and in some ways disturbing-series of events. And second group read a different version of the same short story, one that had been rewritten so that the plot and literary elements made sense.

POPSVote Against Stimulus, Then Race For The Cash. White men speak with forked tongue. On top of that, ""I am writing to request your support for a number of projects in my home state of Utah that I believe merit your department's attention," Bennett wrote, adding that he would "greatly appreciate" any funding considerations for his state." "Utah's lawmakers sent these letters despite repeated promises from President Barack Obama that the stimulus bill wouldn't include pet projects and that the money wouldn't be awarded based on the desires of lobbyists or home-state politicians." Tsk, tsk, tsk.

The bill also would allow the centers to be used to train first responders, and for "other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security.

POPS- men tverrfaglig får du tenke sjøl
