Over Friendly US Judge trying AIPAC Spy Case
righthand
by righthand  2-11-2008    3
"Rosen and Weissman were indicted on Aug. 4, 2005--two and a half years ago. Lowell and Nassikas have used every tactic in the book to delay the trial in the hope that if it is delayed long enough, it may not take place at all. Delay has followed delay as the prosecution (the U.S. government) and defense have fought over how open or closed the trial will be and over whom can be called to testify. Among others Judge Ellis has ordered to testify are National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley, former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, former Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, former Under Secretary of Defense Douglas Feith, Deputy National Security Adviser Abrams, Ambassador to Russia Burns, and Pollack, former director of Persian Gulf Affairs for the National Security Council. According to The WP, Lowell and Nassikas will try to prove that their clients’ conduct was lawful and completely consistent with how the US government dealt with AIPAC and other foreign policy

Bush Knew Iran Intel Last Winter--Cover Blown
blueridge
by blueridge  12-19-2007
No surprise since Cheney was trying to "fix" the report by strong-arming the agencies for over a year, to delay or alter the report. In fact he did get included the fabrication that Iran had a nuke program but discontinued it in 2003. Liars have to work so hard to cover their tracks. What is amazing is the tolerance or stupidity of the American people and Congress for putting up with it. PERJURY is a high crime, especially to foment war.

Spotlight on AIPAC and Bush Admin in Spy Case
blueridge
by blueridge  11-6-2007
Neocons Wolfowitz and Armitage were subpoenaed by the "pro-Israel" Lobby, i.e. AIPAC, for two of its agents charged with espionage. This could get revealing, but no doubt obfuscation will take place. Mainstream American media is keeping quiet about this (due to their Jewish dominated corporate boardrooms that support the Zionist and neocon agenda). The Israeli faction dominates U.S. government and has been the principle beneficiary of 9/11 and the "war on terror" for "regime change" in the middle east.

AIPAC Agents Charged With Spying -- Rice and Neocons Subpoenaed
blueridge
by blueridge  11-3-2007    2
Look at how the media covers this story below on "Rice Subpoenaed"". Journalism 101 says you headline the main subject, not the peripheral subjects. Let's cut through the double talk on this article that treats Israel, AIPAC and Jewish agents with kid gloves. Headline should read: "AIPAC Charged With Spying -- Rice and Neocons Subpoenaed". Now that would sell newspapers! Now the article goes on to say (listen to this), the lobbyist received information from a "now convicted Pentagon official and passed it on..." (why not name him?). That would be Larry Franklin, no? This article is designed to save AIPAC's arse from a Second round of public humiliation. Look at the special treatment of the "news" for AIPAC! You have to look so close to see the real story here. Notice that two major neocons--Armitage and Wolfowitz are not mentioned in headline either, just Rice. (AIPAC is certain that the neocons will lie for them).

What a wonderful world?!?!
egoldstein
by egoldstein  7-16-2007    6
Couldn't help but clip these 4 excerpts from news stories on the home page of CNN. The direction this world is headed is nothing short of depressing. World leaders seem inept when it comes to making actual progress towards a better world, as they instead focus entirely on their own image and power. I am hopeful that the pathetic nature of these leaders in conjunction with greater exposure and awareness caused by the Internet will someday lead to a change in the right direction.

Our Troops Are Officially Being Used as Pawns
zasel
by zasel  1-21-2007    2
So, finally the White House is showing its real hypocrisy when they talk about supporting our troops. Their way of supporting them is to make sure they are rushed into harms way before Congress can possibly act to cut off the funding necessary to put them there in the first place. This is an ugly and cynical policy that is nothing short of disgusting. Impeachment is too good for this president. He is nothing short of a total war criminal even when it comes to our own troops well-being is concerned.

Leaked White House Memo Questions Maliki's Competency
Kore7
by Kore7  11-29-2006
“We returned from Iraq convinced we need to determine if Prime Minister Maliki is both willing and able to rise above the sectarian agendas being promoted by others,” the memo says. “Do we and Prime Minister Maliki share the same vision for Iraq? If so, is he able to curb those who seek Shia hegemony or the reassertion of Sunni power? The answers to these questions are key in determining whether we have the right strategy in Iraq.”
