POPSBig Brother Monitoring Your Clipmarks, Blogs, Tweets "Visible", a very extensive and sophisticated CIA-based monitoring program is in effect watching online forums, blogs, twitters, and likely Clipmarks (where influential clips are easily tabulated). After all, it's all in the public domain, where whatever you post you must own. In-Q-Tel says it wants Visible to keep track of foreign social media, and give spooks “early-warning detection on how issues are playing internationally ,” spokesperson Donald Tighe tells Danger Room.

POPSHoneytrap Lies and Woman Spies As in most other proffesions women have been short changed in the intelligence field but it is a tawdy business, usually an off shoot of the male-ego-fuelled aggression and imperialism. Nowadays the global intelligence establishment remains the hand maiden of the military-industrial complexs. They drain the life blood of every major nation and many lesser ones. The mission impossible for women, would do better, to work on eliminating global conflicts @ the conditions that generate them. Rosie White is a lecturer in English at Northumbia Uni @ her book on subject is "Violent Femmes:Women Spies in Popular Culture" (2008)

POPSOf spooks and scoops A fine article if you want to know about freedom of the press in Australia. If the paper doesn't have Murdoch et al to keep you to the right of Atilla the Hen, the Fed cops will be set onto you.

POPSRights Group Suing AT&T for Spying Will Sue Government Too "Cohn admits the government has many sovereign immunity defenses that can protect it from lawsuits, but says they aren't insurmountable and that the program clearly violates the Fourth Amendment. As for the unexpectedly long-lived suit against AT&T, the government and the EFF are discussing when and how the government will attempt to have the case dismissed using the amnesty provision. The EFF wants to challenge the legality of the amnesty before it is actually applied, while the government prefers to have the case dismissed first -- then have the EFF fight the dismissal. Lawyers for both sides will meet with the judge in the case in early September, setting a likely date for the next court appearance in December."

POPSSpooks and Spies Among Us You just never know who is spying for whom. Good thing is: We have nothing to hide, it's the NRA and our government that have much to hide.

POPSAT&T's "cloak-and-dagger" room AT&T is going out of its way to comply with requests for data that have not even been made. In AT&T's secret room in San Francisco, NSA spooks can check-up on U.S. citizens. Now, the company, is trying to avoid responsibility for helping the U.S. government violate its citizens' constitutional rights. As with water-boarding, and despite what the mainstream media would have you believe, there is no gray area here.

POPSFacebook Funded By CIA Well worth a read. Pity it has been labelled as "conspiracy theory". People tend to automatically ignore stuff once that label has been applied. I wonder how that came about ;)
