Worker Advocate Files Lawsuit to Force Disclosure of Administration’s Big Labor Ties
merrie
by merrie  11-23-2009    1
The FOIA submission cited concerns about Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, who previously held a key leadership position at the Big Labor-front group “American Rights at Work,” and Deborah Greenfield, a DOL appointee who previously worked with the AFL-CIO to overturn the same union disclosure guidelines she now oversees. As of today, the DOL has refused to honor President Obama’s widely touted promise of transparency and has failed to follow federal laws requiring the timely disclosure of public information. As a result, Right to Work attorneys concluded that a federal lawsuit was the only way to compel the level of transparency promised by President Obama and guaranteed under the Freedom of Information Act. “It’s absolutely vital that this information is made available to the public to dispel real concerns about conflicts of interest at the Department of Labor,” continued Mix.

Obama Administration Moves to Shutdown Disclosure of Big Labor-ACORN Connections
merrie
by merrie  9-25-2009    2
U.S. Big Labor Department swings into action Instead of focusing on the economy or the alarming unemployment trends, Obama’s Big Labor Department seems to have focused little on the men and women behind those numbers. Instead, Secretary Solis has focused like a laser beam on eliminating disclosure of labor bosses perks and their spending of money collected as a condition of employment from millions of workers. And that is not all; Obama’s Labor Department creatively and without rulemaking eliminated 2008 Bush Administration reform of Labor Officer conflict-of-interest reporting. The following is the de facto rulemaking: Note: The Office of Labor-Management Standards will publish in the spring 2009 Semi-Annual Regulatory Agenda notice of an intended rulemaking to revise the Form LM-30 (Labor Organization Officer and Employee Report). The rulemaking is intended to review questions of policy and law surrounding these reporting requirements. ......

Out: Commie Truther Green Jobs Czar. In: Union Hack “Manufacturing” Czar
merrie
by merrie  9-8-2009
Bloom will continue to double-dip the government coffers as the Treasury Secretary’s car czar " oh, excuse me, “senior auto adviser.” Like so many of the Czars of the Obama Underworld, Bloom will serve in a completely superfluous position. Why does America need a “manufacturing” czar? Doesn’t the Department of Labor cover that jurisdiction already? No, Bloom has no actual, specialized experience in manufacturing. He does have a long track record of union hatchet jobs, though/ J.P. Slave Labor. Tell the Department of Labor To Release Its List of Goods
kbock70
by kbock70  7-27-2009    1
Reasons why this is so important: Slavery by kidnapping and by forced labor is highly profitable. Human trafficking has become an overwhelming problem which is offsetting the nerves of our government, robbing our families of loved ones, and destryong the lives of thousands of children and adults throughout the states and abroad. They must be backed into a corner, with a clear message that bully tactics and slavery won't be tolerated. There are repercussions for their actions.

Obama's Mexican Host Dies of "Flu Like Symptoms"
blueridge
by blueridge  4-27-2009    1
"...died the next day from flu like symptoms". How they are dismissing this as "pneumonia" is interesting since pneumonia does not kill that rapidly and ordinarily would prevent even an official meeting. The man would have been hospitalized. Also swine flu reports have mentioned "pneumonia like illness" as well. Was he the first, just after seeing Obama?

Are There Any Smart People in Chairman O’s Administration?
merrie
by merrie  3-21-2009
DHSSec Janet Napolitano — Says there’s no such thing as terrorist acts, they call them “man-made disasters” now, and halts enforcement of immigration laws. AttyGen Eric Holder — When not race-baiting about the insensitivities of white people is busily trying to figure out how to unloose terrorists from custody at Gitmo. He’s somewhat of an expert on freeing terrorists, having secured pardons for FMLN terrorists under Clinton (when not pushing for the Marc Rich pardon.) And rounding out the list, Helen Solis (tax liens, conflicts of interest, Amnesty diva), Roy LaHood (Porktaculous Transportation Secretary), Kathleen Sebelius (Free-spending abortion queen who left her state with a billion dollar deficit), Ken Salazar (shuts down domestic energy production, oil price rebounds instantly). Competent, Ethical Obama Administration Officials are only Slightly Less Common Than Those Unicorns we were promised

Hilda Solis Reviews Project Using Mexican "Guest" Workers Instead Of Union Workers
merrie
by merrie  3-5-2009
They also provide this Solis quote from a meeting she conducted with the AFL-CIO: We are going to have to take a look at it and, hopefully, work closely with Napolitano to see how we better focus so that these things don’t happen and that we avoid them . There were before I came into my position visas that were permitted under the Bush administration that we will take a very, very close look at and a very keen eye go through. But, rest assured, we will take a strong view on that.

The 16-Year Tax Payment Deadline

Strike 4 - I mean if you took 17 years to pay your tax liens, that would be against the law. But 16 years seems to be just under that deadline - for Democrats. For Republicans its zero of course, but that is simply because they are mean, evil, heartless creatures who shouldn't be allowed to exist.
