Obama's half-sister, Maya Soetoro, claimed Obama was born in Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, a testimony reported as fact by several news sources and the myth-busting site Snopes.com. Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu, Hawaii But after WND drew attention to a letter from the president declaring as his birthplace the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu instead, news sources and websites jumped to scrub the Queens location and replace it with Kapi'olani. The Advertiser also reports Obama was born "at what at the time was known as the Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital." The White House, however, has thus far refused to verify which hospital the president claims as his birthplace or whether the letter – purportedly from President Obama claiming Kapi'olani – is, in fact, real.

Now even my debit card from my credit union is in danger of being revoked because of all the absurd late fees my Sears card has accrued since Dec. '07. Maybe I should go to the B of A and apply for a credit card there. However the story does not say how large the APR is. New Media Journal is a news site run by a nonprofit group called BasicsProject.org, which states that its mission is to "re-introduce the American public to the basic elements of our constitutional heritage while providing non-partisan, fact-based information on relevant socio-political issues important to our country, specifically, but not limited to, the threats of aggressive Islamofascism and the American Fifth Column." It said it was CORRECTLY ATTRIBUTED... So I thought I'd pass it around in case others haven't come across it yet.
