POPSFactCheck: "Obama Nation" a "paste-up job" "even a casual glance at Corsi's lengthy endnotes reveals that his 'sources' include obscure Internet postings (which are themselves completely unsourced) and opinion columns from various conservative publications. In fact, on four occasions, Corsi cites himself as a source. Where Corsi does cite news sources, he sometimes presents only those that are consistent with his case while ignoring evidence that doesn't fit the picture he paints. "A comprehensive review of all the false claims in Corsi's book would itself be a book. Our review touches only on a few of the more blatant examples." See link for examples.

POPSRev. Wright speks truth--Obama quibbles But as for saying "God damn America" — he wasn't calling on the deity to zap us. What he was saying was that should be our frustrated attitude when our government does horrible things. Think about it; I have known military officers totally dedicated to the service who, confronted by its absurdities, say things like "God damn this army." I know a man who loves Wayne State who, thanks to its bureaucracy, regularly says, "Fuck Wayne State." So then, what about a guy who says: "America is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today. was founded on genocide and a nation that is founded on genocide is destructive." Guess what. I can answer that one. We turn him into a saint, and make him a national hero. By the way, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright didn't say those words. The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. did.

POPSFlip for Video I've been using a Flip for the last 9 months and have found it to be the most flexible and efficient way of capturing short video interviews and on-the-spot snippets. It ain't fancy but it gets you there--at a great price.

POPSRezko, Wright, And Ayers If you are looking for the audio and transcripts of Pastor Wright's two sermons, they are here. In an effort to provide "context" I will try and obtain and play the entire audio of his NAACP speech from yesterday on today's program. (Michelle Malkin has a round-up on this astonishing speech.) If time permits, I'll replay the sermons as well, even though I played all the audio out there from both on Friday's program. They are the "primary documents" of the controversy, and deserve a wide audience. I suspect the pastor will make more news at the National Press Club, and I'll play that audio as well.
