POPSWho benefits from the 'culture of participation'? i don't think there is a blanket answer to this issue. I think that in some cases, the people/users will benefit and the companies that provide the services will be successful. Skype is a great example of that. On the other hand, if the technology is nothing more than a conduit for participation for participation's sake, then i think people will get board of it and the ocmpany will not be successful. Make sense?

POPSSkype Network Falls Down Skype is denying it was a cyberattack or exploit and is maintaining it's a software issue. This is making news everywhere and after being faced with an ad for AOL service here at channel4.com, I know what website I'll be adding to my blocked list.

POPSA Virtual Business Card, Brilliant My next post will definitely be my virtual business card. I already am using my Gmail signature as a sort of "virtual" business card where I list all my social networking links and profiles. Now mine will not be nearly as impressive as Christopher S. Penn's VBC. Hah, I am already chopping it down to an acronym. I bet we will see much more formal virtual business cards and resumes. LinkedIn is a sort of virtual business card, but it doesn't allow for us social media freaks to list all of our websites. Who else will create a VBC?
