POPSCanadian Radio Skits Obama Bump Off These people view Obama as a ":negro". Wrong. He has more Arab slave-trading blood than any "negro". Trouble is he alone is not the problem. Bumping this Kenyan born imposter off would only bring other boobs to the forefront. Just steel ourselves to wait out 3 some years to get these marxists out of power and begin to rebuild the nation they have so attempted to destroy.

POPSPalestinians: Israeli Attack on Jesus, Mary "Racist," Anti-Semitic I don't buy into the "Jews killed Jesus" claptrap, but man, some people are just plain stupid. "So what did we learn here? A Jewish-Israeli attack on the holy figures of Christianity provoked outrage among Muslims as well as Christians, and was denounced by Palestinian-Israelis (20% of the population) as racist and as anti-Semitic. One background for this Palestinian-Israeli response is that the crucified Christ is often taken by Palestinian Christians as a symbol of their displacement and expropriation at the hands of Israelis. So the attack on that symbol ('died young of being obese') by a representative of the Jewish majority was doubly painful, since it repeated on a symbolic level the Israeli denial of the 1948 Catastrophe and even of the existence of the Palestinians. POPSFORRESTER CORPORATE BLOGGING TIPS Basically Josh points out that business blogs that act like commercials or PR vehicles are no more credible (actually less) than TV or PR...heck, more people said they trust the Yellow Pages which didn't make a lot of sense to me. -- Chris Baggott

POPSPolitical Satire Stronger Than Candidates This is a good article about extra-wonderful satire and Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin (the first quote clipped here)...and a couple of nice slashes at Democratic VP candidate Joe Biden. These comedy sketches are becoming more well-known than the candidates themselves. Many folks now, when they hear Palin speak, wonder ahead to how SNL will parody it. Palin, certainly, gives the comics a lot of material to work with. A link to a video of the skits is at the bottom of this article. With the elections just a bit more than three weeks from now, we have to "press on," -- these Republicans are like vampires and to kill them you really have to drive a stake through their heart: They're not dead till they're dead. At least with our talented comics we not only can 'press on,' but laugh-on as well.

POPSGay Tourism Means Big Bucks It was only a matter of time before the tourism industry in general picked-up on the fact that gay travelers can mean big bucks. Most hotels were ill prepared to deal with the niceties of accommodating same-sex couples. There was generally a sense of awkwardness and discomfort. But those days are fast becoming a thing of the past, as this article explains.

POPSGay Comedy Produced By Gays...How Unique Finally a gay positive TV show presented from the perspective of the gay sensibility. Will and Grace broke the mold and made positive gay characters possible on a mainstream television sitcom. But the show was essentially straight people talking about us, and showing an audience their perception of gays. Now we have gays presenting their own perception of who they, or should I say we, are. I live in Canada, and I cannot get this new channel and the gay lifestyle channel on her cable and satellite grid is not scheduled, yet, to carry it. But the moment I an able to find a way to watch The Big Gay Sketch Show, you can be sure I will be doing so.

POPSHumorous Dissent I realize that the cameras are "serious business", but they are showing up everywhere. I admit that even I feel a little childish (the point, maybe?) around these things, even when I go up to my ATM (I always smile and stick out my tongue, on purpose). These guys take dissent to a whole 'nother level. At least the guys watching the cameras have something entertaining to look at.
