POPSThe Daily Show vs. Blovation Fest 2008! I've been watching the Daily Show since its first episode, and I started taking it serriously when Jon upped the IQ quotient by replacing Craig Killborne. Now the show pretty much only does indie film makers, political wonks, and third world presidents. How cool is that? The only people who do more serious interviews are Charlie Rose and Bill Moyers, and actually, Bill Moyers described Jon as "The Mark Twain of our time." But why did I clip? for the "Blovation Fest" Quote, which by the way, will be the festival of avant garde noise-punk music I attempt to put on this fall. ;)

However, what the fuck was an 11 year old girl doing walking home at 1 AM??? The parents shouldbe charged as accomplices in the crime IMO. It was thier incompitence as parents that let this happen. It makes me want to scream. Its easy enough for these creeps as it is.. you serve your 11 year old on a silver platter? you deserve to be shot. That's just my opinion though.

Some evil geniuses have developed an automated chat program that convinces people it's a real cybersex partner and convinces them to reveal personal information, which can then be used for ID theft, or it lures them to a fake malware-laden website. Called "CyberLover." Only in Russia thus far, but look out.

POPSGays protest Fort Lauderdale mayor's remarks I can't speak for the gay population, however it seems to me that ANYONE, gay or straight who has to resort to using a public restroom to get their jollies is probably a sexual predator. The gay population in general does NOT fit that category, (at least in my experience) but I do feel that they should lighten up a bit on this issue and take it upon themselves to police their own, so to speak. The same applies to straights. We need to report the perverts when we encounter them and there are just as many on each side.
