With birthers, as with anti-choicers, more evidence of reality just gets them further into the thick of imagining even more complex and strange conspiracies. And just as the anti-choicers have moved on to concocting theories about how Planned Parenthood is part of a child sex ring that they’re covering up, I suspect the birther thing may grow in ways that are frightening in their complexity and lack of touch with reality.

POPSThe Majority Spoke...And the Court Did It's Job Regardless of your position on same-sex marriage, the majority decides. In California, the voters decided that 'marriage' will remain traditional. The California Supreme Court, as is it's job, ruled dispassionately, relying on the constitution of the state instead of personal positions. But the main reason I clipped this article is because - regardless of my stance on the subject - I applaud the Court for doing the job it was hired to do: decide cases without prejudice. I hope Obama's new Supreme Court nominee is of the same ilk.
