POPSWestmoreland calls Obama ‘uppity' Absolutely amazing. To speak in such a snobbish/old money way, would not be tolerated at this level by Australians. A part of the culture that should be changed. And to further show ignorance, L W is shepherded into a world of name calling.

POPSMcCain is he talking to US or warning his 2nd wife ? Everyone riding the Palin speech, I found nothing in it ,as a matter of fact it was like watching a bad porn , waiting for the "money shot" that never happened ,apparently her daughter got that ,oh but we're not suppose to talk about that after all it not like her last name is "SPEARS"!

POPSPalin the polarizer And this comment from a Republican no less. I think he's right. This time there are more D than R's.

POPSPalin's speech This is an interesting comment..still 58% of the people who took the CNN poll thought Palin was effective....We'll see.

POPSWrong Woman; Wrong Message Her down-home, divisive and deceptive speech did nothing to cosmeticize a Republican convention that has more than twice as many male delegates as female, a presidential candidate who is owned and operated by the right wing and a platform that opposes pretty much everything Clinton's candidacy stood for -- and that Barack Obama's still does. I get no pleasure from imagining her in the spotlight on national and foreign policy issues about which she has zero background, with one month to learn to compete with Sen. Joe Biden's 37 years' experience. When asked last month about the vice presidency, she said, "I still can't answer that question until someone answers for me: What is it exactly that the VP does every day?" When asked about Iraq, she said, "I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq."

POPSGiuliani flattens temple Obama I mean really. I have NEVER seen this guy so fired -up. He tore the Obamination a new rear end. They won't be able to sit for a week! Next up was VP nominee Sarah Palin and she finished off the pieces of Temple Obama that Rudy didn't obliterate. THE BEST LINE- "Hope, is NOT a strategy!"

POPSPalin Pledges Allegiance to AIPAC--Stamped "Approved"
From "Alaska First", and by-passing "America First", Palin goes straight to "Israel First". By consequence and definition then she can no longer be considered a "reformer". Like McCain, Obama, Pelosi, Hillary, and every other former 2008 candidate, the ultimate test of worthiness is not the American people but to the overbearing Lobby of a foreign government that sets the course of foreign policy in alliance with the neoconservatives--ensuring a continuance of the phony "war on terrorism"--to "make the world safe for Democracy" through wars for "regime change". How quickly Washington transforms everyone, even from the remotest states, by coercing conformity to global democratic agenda and blind allegiance to Israel through the muscle of The Lobby. This trumps all other considerations, is the hallmark of foreign policy (and why wars never cease), which also in turn has consequences on the economy (high gas prices, national debt, value of money) and domestic policy as well.

POPSA Democrat supports McCain; Mocks Obama This is bewildering. Although I disagree with the Democrats failing to impeach Bush/Cheeny at least I could understand they had some (Machiavellian) reason. But this? They let this guy be the lead Democratic Chairman on the Homeland (Security) and Government Affairs Committee? They let him sit on other committees? They let him caucus and vote on Democratic Party issues? He keeps other privileges of seniority? And he supports the other party's candidate for president and mocks Obama!? I can only conclude they are wimps or more whipped by the Israeli lobby than I thought possible. Or both. Really...would this be tolerated in any other political party in the world? & if not the reasons above, Why?

POPSGingrich Slams MSNBC's Allen Concerning Palin's Qualifications Newt then challenged Allen: I'd like you to tell me one thing Sen. Obama's done. With that, Allen retreated, and said: Thanks very much, Mr. Speaker. I'm going to leave it there. I'm not going to argue the case. Thanks very much. Hmmm. Imagine that. I guess folks like Allen are only willing to argue the case when there's nobody playing the part of the defense attorney. How convenient. video :52 http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2008/09/03/gingrich-slams-msnbcs-allen-concerning-palins-qualifications

POPSObama's Misleading, Confusing Abortion Rights Ads Obama’s new radio ad tells voters McCain “will make abortion illegal” is airing widely in at least seven swing states. Kate Michelman, an informal Obama adviser who is the former president of the abortion-rights group NARAL Pro-Choice America, said she expected the campaign to expand its appeal to women on issues of abortion rights. “This is a door opened to a longer campaign and strategic effort to ensure that women know the truth about John McCain and Gov. Palin,” she said, suggesting it would come “on the radio, in the mail, on the phones, and in the organizing on the ground.” Though the campaign says the ad was released before Palin was chosen, Michelman said her selection, and her strong anti-abortion stance, would drive the issue closer to the center of the race. “By his nomination of Gov. Palin, McCain has made his opposition to a woman’s right to decide a major campaign issue,” she said.

POPSFred Thompson Speech (RNC Convention) Once upon a time, Fred Thompson ran for president. His campaign was inexplicably late in starting and never got any traction. A lot of conservatives were disappointed because they were looking for a more traditional candidate to fill a perceived void. The choices in 2008 came down to Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and John McCain. We still do not know why Fred Thompson ran such a poor campaign, a question that will not be answered in his RNC convention speech. 'Character you can believe in' 3:02 video at website Fred Thompson says Sen. John McCain has the character that America can "believe in".

POPSMinneapolis-St. Paul: The “Delegation” From Georgia Georgia --- the country, which has made headlines in recent weeks after it was invaded by neighboring Russia. “Sen. Obama has expressed clear support,” he said. “And Sen. McCain has clearly expressed his support. We are very grateful to both campaigns that they understand the situation.”

POPSHeard on the Hill: Rollcall News: Senator Chris Matthews? Saying What Holly-wouldn’t. Sunday’s screening of the Hollywood-goes-conservative film “An American Carol” brought out some of the movie’s principals, including Kevin Farley (brother of the late “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Chris Farley), Jon Voight and producer David Zucker, for some conservative laughs. Actor and outspoken Republican Kelsey Grammer, who plays Gen. George Patton in the film, appeared in a video to address the crowd. Grammer, who recently had a heart attack, got applause from the audience when he told them that “against doctor’s orders, I watched a little of the coronation coverage. I mean convention coverage,” referring to the Democrats’ Denver confab in which they named Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) their main man.

POPSNigeria police seize funds allegedly raised for Obama The amount raised sparked widespread public outrage in Africa's top oil producer, where the majority of the people live on less than $2 a day, prompting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to launch an investigation. The commission said it would work out how to share the money among those who paid to participate in the event. Okereke-Onyiuke said in a full-page statement in Nigeria's Guardian newspaper on Aug. 21 that the dinner had never been intended to raise funds for Obama, but to sensitize and mobilize Africans worldwide.

POPSObama is Correct about the Palin Pregnancy Story Barack Obama is correct. Sarah Palin's daughter's pregnancy is no one's business. It should be totally off limits in assessing Gov. Palin's ability to be a Vice President. Her young daughter isn't the first teenager to get pregnant outside of wedlock and she won't be the last. In itself the event says nothing about anyone. Barack Obama has shown himself to be a man of real integrity in this matter. He didn't resort to the no comment response that some politicians use when they hope that the scandal will hurt the opponent. Instead of viewing this as a political opportunity, he told the press clearly that they were stepping over a line that should be sacrosanct. Good for him.

POPSMcCain Surrogate Accuses Obama of Absenteeism Hypocrisy, thy initials are GOP. This also highlights something I've been saying; Republicans are bad on the economy because they suck at math and logic. First, 45.5% is there more often than gone, Lindsey gets it backward. Second, if Obama's "never challenged his own party to do anything different," how can he possibly be the most liberal senator ? I know that Team McCain's having trouble keeping his positions consistent, but if they could just keep their talking points in agreement, it'd be a big improvement.

POPSB. Obama Walks the Walk This article summarizes one of the main reasons I back Barack Obama. I believe in community service and helping out others in need and apparently so does he. We don't have to wait for him to finish being president to see him interacting with people who make less than $500k per year. To see him doing this stuff before he can score political points shows that this is the real him. Not a put on. The fact that he's called on to do these events shows his general respect level.

POPSGOP Sells $3 Obama Bill At Washington State Fair MONROE, Wash. -- The head of the Snohomish County Republican Party is apologizing after volunteers sold fake $3 bills depicting Sen. Barack Obama in traditional Arab headgear, with a camel. The volunteers were manning the Snohomish County GOP's booth at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, according to the Herald of Snohomish County. The bills identify the likely Democratic nominee for president as "Da Man" and show signatures for "Teddy Kennedy, Chief Socialism Advisor," and "Al Sharpton, New Spiritual Advisor." Snohomish County Republican Party chairwoman Geri Modrell told The Herald that she called volunteers in the booth to have it removed when she first heard about it on Tuesday. "I want to apologize to anyone upset or offended by seeing it," she told the paper.

POPS23 Pillars of Change Let's me see, we don't have enough government spending, or enough government programs. And taxes, raising taxes lowers tax revenues. Lowering taxes raises revenues. But Barack Hussen Obama will magically raise revenues by raising taxes.

POPSBush has been "falsely" Accused? As if Bush's energy politics have helped any. Failed policies for 8 solid years. No cars made in America with better gas miles, no solar industry compared to the level we should be, no wind, only hot air from the rear
