POPSMuslims Bombing Muslims the undemarcated frontier. The official Saudi Press Agency said operations would go on until Saudi territory was ‘cleansed of any hostile element'. AFP reported: Saudi Arabia said on Tuesday it will keep up air strikes against Yemeni rebels until they pull back from its borders...'We are not going to stop the bombing until the Huthis retreat tens of kilometres (miles) inside their border,' Deputy Defence Minister Prince Khaled bin Sultan said...He appeared to confirm reports by Shiite Zaidi rebels that Saudi warplanes continued to pummel them inside Yemen, a week after a rebel raid into Saudi territory sparked air and ground bombardment of their positions... Earlier the rebels, also known as Huthis after their leader, said a Saudi air strike on a Yemeni village near the border killed two women and wounded a child. The rebels said two women were killed and a child wounded! That's it? Let's not beat around the bush. How prominent a news story would.....

POPSTragedy at Ft. Hood An American with a brain AND common sense along with a resume and experience. He dares to speak the truth. Excellent article. FTA: "There should not be some 30 Islamic terrorist training camps in America that has nothing to do with First Amendment, Freedom of Religion. The Saudis are not our friends and any American political figure who believes such is delusional."

POPSSaudi Royal Air Force carries strikes against Yemeni rebels
The same dynamic has played out in various forms in Lebanon, where Iran supports the Shiite militant Hezbollah and Saudi Arabia favors a U.S.-backed faction, and in Iraq, where Saudi Arabia and Iran have thrown support to conflicting sides in the Sunni-Shiite struggle. A top Saudi government adviser confirmed "a large scale" military operation underway on the Saudi-Yemeni border with further reinforcements sent to the rugged, mountainous area. "It is a sustained operation which aims to finish this problem on our border," he said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue. He said Saudi troops were coordinating with Yemen's army, but Yemen's defense ministry denied the Saudis were inside the country. The northern rebels, known as Hawthis, have been battling Yemeni government forces the past few months in the latest flare-up of a sporadic five-year conflict. They claim their needs are ignored by a Yemeni government that is increasingly allied wit

POPS Is Barack Obama Anti-American?
And with other dreams (for example, the Second Amendment) he’s doing a fancy dance by which he tries to hide his authoritarian impulses. But it doesn’t matter. This post isn’t about what Obama will actually do. It’s about what he wants to do, what his desires are vis a vis the American people " and it’s very clear that his desire is antithetical to the American essence. He wants to limit or destroy individual liberties. Politically, too, Obama’s impulses are all antithetical to liberty. Again, some examples: He has turned against the only democratic nation in the Middle East (that would be Israel), in favor of the bloodied tyrannical theocracies on her borders. By reversing his pledge to keep a missile defense system in place in Poland and the Czech Republic, he has favored Iran’s Muslim tyranny Figuratively and literally, he bows to dictators (Saudis, Venezuelans, Russians, Iranians, Cubans). In Honduras, he sided with the delusional Zelaya against the . . .

POPSSaudi Arabia Wants Compensation if Global Warming Bill Passes Saudi Arabia, which sits atop the world's largest proven oil reserves, is seeing economic growth slide because of fallout from the global meltdown, but experts still expect the country, flush with cash from oil's earlier price spike last year, to be better able than other nations to cope with the current crisis. Al Sabban accused Western nations of pursuing an agenda against oil producers, under the guise of protecting the planet. “Despite the variability in the region, the current Arab position is mainly focused around protecting the oil trade rather than saving the planet form the adverse impacts of climate change,” said Wael Hmaidan, the executive director of IndyACT.

POPSSaudis Consider Russian Air Defense System This is what I am talking about. Keep Iran away from this defense system, because Israel will attack Iran before it is in place. Before we are ready. It still may happen, with U.S. help and/ or approval...Saudis are strict and treat women like garbage, but this little act will keep peace a day or two longer....

POPS8 Troops Killed In Afghanistan; Remote Outposts Attacked Nuristan, bordering Pakistan, was where a militant raid on another outpost in July 2008 claimed the lives of nine American soldiers and led to allegations of negligence by their senior commanders. Army Gen. David Petraeus last week ordered a new investigation into that fighting, in which some 200 militants armed with machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades and mortars pushed their way into the base, which is no longer operating. The region was key for Arab militants who battled alongside Afghan warriors during the 1980s U.S.-backed war against invading Russians because it is a rare place in South Asia where the Wahhabi sect of Islam is practiced – the same sect followed by Osama bin Laden and most Saudis.

POPSAnalysis: Why Everyone Is Saying No To Obama The only thing Obama did manage to get Bibi and Abbas to say yes to is a photo-op at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in NY. Mazel tov. So why is everyone saying no to Obama? It's the economy, stupid. Everyone has worked it out by now: The great secret is out. America's economy has made Obama a weak president, and he will likely remain weak throughout his first term. He has about two years to pull the American economy out of its free-fall before he begins his reelection campaign. If he can do it, and that's a big if, chances are good that he'll get reelected, and in his second term he can try to pull some geopolitical strings. But for the next three years, expect to see a world that says no to Obama. No meaningful and dramatic diplomatic initiative can come out of the White House in the next three years, as long as Obama remains weak. And that's a real pity, because there are some serious and imminent issues that need to be addressed.

POPSAnalysis: Why everyone is saying no to Obama the Israelis said no by refusing to agree to a settlement freeze, or even a settlement moratorium until and unless the Arabs ante up their normalization gestures. Which brings us back to the original Saudi no. The only thing Obama did manage to get Bibi and Abbas to say yes to is a photo-op at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in NY. Mazel tov.

POPSNew Israeli "Pretenses for Peace," Announced
This is a rather ruthless, cynical and cold view of the announced intent to "restart." Israeli-Palestinian, Middle East peace negotiations next month. "Restarting this carousel first begins with the old tune: The Israeli's say the Arabs must make concessions. They ask for these concessions while publicly and actively evicting Palestinian, and expanding their Jewish settlements into former Arab territory. Then the chorus sings: "And what about the 'problem,' of Gaza" --- or the Golan Heights or Palestinian violent resistance to oppression and invasion...all as if these are problems caused by others and nothing to do with their own policies of fascism, apartheid, collective punishment and Palestinian genocide. Now, everybody sing: "All we are saying is, give peace a chance." BUT - the "problem" of Gaza is that one and a half million people are being starved to death in front of the eyes of the world, for the last two years, due to an Israeli blockade. Stopping that woul

POPSGov Paying Over a Half Million Dollars a Pound for Sliced Ham? Thomas Lifson And here I thought prosciutto was expensive. Is this going to be served to guests at one of the many parties the Obamas like to throw? Half million dollar a pound ham won't really uimpress the Saudis, if Obama offers it to them, no matter how low he bows. This makes the $100/lb wagyu steaks used at White House parties look like a bargain. POPSSaudis give nod to Israeli raid on Iran Michael Oren, Israel’s ambassador to the United States, on Friday warned that an Iranian atomic bomb could “wipe Israel off the map in a matter of seconds,” and that the Iranians could “accomplish in a matter of seconds what they denied Hitler did, and kill 6 million Jews, literally.”

POPSUighurs imprisoned in Guantanamo since 2002: China dictating policy to the US ? These poor men, Muslims from China - unjustly imprisoned - GW Bush acknowledged this in 2003 - and now exiled with nothing but the clothes they stand up in. This is going to be an increasing common price of US debt - their debt holders will be able to dictate US foreign policy, or threaten to dump their bonds or demand payment, effectively destroying the US economy. Ironically this is the same tactic used by the US against the UK and France over the Suez conflict. They intended to fight Egypt over control of the Suez Canal, but the US said `get your military out of there, or else` . All troops were withdrawn within 2 weeks ! I heard on the radio today, that this was the exact moment when the British Empire died. Not a bad thing, of course; but China, the Saudis and oil producers hold most of the US debt - so look out world, there could be interesting times ahead :)

POPS Do The Thought Experiment Merely to pose the question reveals its absurdity. The Arabs have demanded since 1948 that the Middle East be free of the taint of the Jew. The Arabs continue to boycott Israel despite agreements to do otherwise; the boycott has persisted despite the ups and downs of the "Peace Process." Despite President Obama's kind words and his adoption of the Arab perspective on the Middle East, the Saudis, our good friends, refuse to even consider opening an interest section in Tel Aviv. The more honest among the Arab or Muslim World, such as Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah, proudly announce their genocidal intention to destroy Israel and kill Jews, quoting approvingly from the Koranic verses purporting to prove that Allah hates the Jews and that even the trees and stones will turn on the Jews come the end times.
