POPSHere We Go Again See, what did I tell you. I do like this one though. It's hard to argue with, except that it may spell DOG as well. But, if she says that she found them in the order that she did, whose to argue it?

POPSBar review: Americano, San Francisco More: The vibe: Stylishly comfy, Americano has a distinctly upscale vibe. The crowd: The happy hour scene is packed with co-workers hooting, hollering and some even staggering - all in the name of quitting time. A few hotel guests wander around, looking for a quiet spot to sit, as they observe the alcohol-fueled rituals of San Francisco office workers. Best seat: The lounge, which juts off the dining room, has couches and club chairs perfectly arranged for an after-work gossip session. Killer app: The all-day menu offers plenty of antipasti ($3 each during happy hour; otherwise $7 each or three for $18) that are perfect bar snacks, such as herb-roasted almonds, pork meatballs al forno and artichoke and Brussels sprouts fritti. Three thin-crust pizzas also pair well with the cocktails, especially the pizza Toscana ($14) with salami, mozzarella and crushed tomatoes. I admit\, I can't imagine paying $32 for a glass of wine...

POPSEvery sip you take: Singer Sting is selling wine "I also wanted to use agriculture with practices that would nourish the land and not deplete the land and so we went to traditional methods with farming, we got rid of pesticides, we shunned monoculture, and it works, the farm is also a garden," he said in the remarks broadcast by local television Rtv38. Rossi did not reveal the name of the upcoming wine. He said it will be a 2007 vintage based on the Sangiovese grape, with a touch of Cabernet and Merlot. A 2008 Chianti could also go on sale in the fall, but tests on the wine's aging must be conducted before a decision is made, Rossi told The Associated Press by telephone. The wine, along with other products made on the Sting farm, will also be available at a shop on the property that the singer will inaugurate by June, Rossi said.

POPSUnintentionally sexual comic book covers: part 1 Now, I'm no expert on primate facial expressions, but I think the look on the monkey's face can best be described as: concerned. Of course, I too would be concerned if a moon-bound astronaut mistook me for being a girl from outer space and wanted to make sweet love to my monkey butt. And maybe I'm reading too much into this, but you can only see one of the astronaut's arms on the cover. I'll let you connect the dots, but I can say this much: I've only seen a grin like that on a man's face one other time, and my parents made sure to lock the door from that day on.

POPSIran tests missiles, heightening tension with West The White House told Iran to "refrain from further missile tests if they truly seek to gain the trust of the world."... ...means in plain english, "Don't antagonize us and by and large, we are the World!" "In anyway, we have all the rights in the world to test everything, including the missiles!" The arrogance of the US Govt. is the reason for more than half the anger and anguish of the world! {It does not mean that what Iran has done is correct!}

POPSTravel Advice: How to Make a First Class Sandwich Fennel: The minute lettuce touches something oily, like mayonnaise, it wilts. Fresh, thinly sliced fennel makes for a terrific alternative--its crunch doesn't sag with time. Cucumbers work well too, but they can be watery, so make sure your bread is crusty. Paper: Wrap the sandwich in light, thin paper--the kind used in delis--and slice it in half. Then wrap it in wax or butcher paper, which will keep moisture inside. The outer layer can be used as a makeshift plate. A tasty alternative to consider whether or not an airline provides food service.

POPSThe Star Of Muletide Spare a thought for the animals at Christmas time too. (And better yet, send a few bucks to an animal sanctuary.) Don't overfeed them with Christmas goodies. Don't give pets as gifts. Pets and people have to "fit" to each other. Go as a family to the sanctuary to pick the right pet that suits the lifestyle of your family (or let the pet pick you.) If your family wants a pet, wait till after Xmas, when things calm down. The stress of Christmas is not what a new pet needs. There will be many unwanted Christmas gift pets filling the sanctuaries after Xmas. Please think three times, before getting a cat or dog. They live a LONG time. Merry Christmas to all the clipper pets out there too. :)
