Bread Crumbs Bring the LHC to a Halt
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  11-6-2009
*LOL* The LHC has broken down AGAIN! The difficulties faced by those working on the project have prompted some members of the scientific community to speculate, in all seriousness, that the machine is sabotaging itself — from the future. The theory is that the particle that physicists hope to produce might be "abhorrent to nature," so that once created it would work backwards through time to put a stop to whatever created it. However Dr Mike Lamont, who works at the Cern control center, said that the nature of the experiment meant that glitches were inevitable. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,572567,00.html?test=latestnews

FTA: Here is a trick: Recognize that there are different ways to look at things. Realize that you tend to bump into elephants from the same perspective, characterologically, but that you can change perspective and see things in a different way, just as "real." Understand that you can change your perspective and therefor your reality and that from some perspectives you are more likely to be happy and safe than from others. Resolve that you are going to practice trying to look at things in a variety of ways and pick your reality.

 4. It is partisanship over constituents-Each party's focus is on defeating and sabotaging each other. 5. Both parties love voter apathy and take the necessary steps to ensure a low voter turnout. 6. They have created an incumbency protection racket and called it campaign finance reform. 7. They have created a system where the truth is so hidden that they have to hire a staff that is skilled at cover ups, evasion, spin, lies, disinformation, half-truths, feigned ignorance, sudden memory loss, manipulation of facts, distortions, controlled polling, double standards, and blame-shifting.

You have got to be kidding me. You and Sarah Palin sabotaged yourselves by showing your collective ignorance and battiness. You already stated that if it is God’s will to run for president then you will run. Well, Michelle, if it is God’s will then what could Dems possibly do to stop you, right?

Real Truth That's ......Inconvenient.

Today our new "lie-to-me" syndrome is making us "psychologically vulnerable" as we spend trillions at the second episode and run up huge debts, sabotaging our future ... unfortunately, this may well be our last shot, as we set ourselves up for the catastrophic "third episode," one that we may be mentally too "soft" to handle successfully. For now, remember, liars won't stop lying, the "lie-to-me" disease will keep spreading, along with the lies everywhere, in our new cultural epidemic of "lies." Wake up, protect yourself, your family, your portfolio ... help revive the American soul, your soul.

Despite Outcry, Gandhi Items Sell for $1.8 Million

For Mr. Otis, the sale was to be a means to promote pacifist causes, although the uproar later proved to be upsetting. Antiquorum Auctioneers insisted that the sale would go on regardless. The dispute drew comparisons to an incident at Christie’s in Paris last month in which a Chinese collector said he was the winning bidder for Qing Dynasty bronze sculptures but refused to pay, saying he was sabotaging the auction because the works had been looted in the 19th century.

Israel launches covert war against Iran
ratilfar
by ratilfar  2-17-2009
"With co-operation from the United States, Israeli covert operations have focused both on eliminating key human assets involved in the nuclear programme and in sabotaging the Iranian nuclear supply chain," she said. "As US-Israeli relations are bound to come under strain over the Obama administration's outreach to Iran, and as the political atmosphere grows in complexity, an intensification of Israeli covert activity against Iran is likely to result." Mossad was rumoured to be behind the death of Ardeshire Hassanpour, a top nuclear scientist at Iran's Isfahan uranium plant, who died in mysterious circumstances from reported "gas poisoning" in 2007.

U.S. refuses to aid Israel in attacking Iran, for now
spirithiker
by spirithiker  1-11-2009    1
The U.S. is worried about ‘appearing’ to help attack Iran for fear of being kicked out of Iraq. For if the U.S. were to be kicked out then they would not be able to build military bases needed to protect their oil interests nor would they be able to reach Iran when the inevitable attack does come. Besides, the U.S. does not ‘help’ other countries start wars, they would rather start them on their own. The U.S. is not worried about suffering ramifications from attacking a country that is not attacking us, because, well, that ship has sailed. The U.S. is working on “sabotaging Iran’s nuclear ambitions” because we remain unconvinced that Iran’s nuclear program is only for energy purposes.

If book banning is such a life-and-death issue to these celebrity foot soldiers for free speech, where were they four years ago when John Kerry and his rabid minions were pressuring Regnery Publishing to withdraw Unfit for Command from bookstores? Where were they when members of the Borders Books Employee Union were openly advocating sabotaging book sales? A message on the union’s members-only website urged: You guys don’t actually HAVE to sell the thing! Just “carelessly” hide the boxes, “accidentally” drop them off pallets, “forget” to stock the ones you have, and then suggest a nice Al Franken or Michael Moore book as a substitute . . . I don’t care if these Neandertals (sic) in fancy suits get mad at me, they aren’t regular customers anyway. Other than “Left Behind” books, they don’t read. Anything you can do to make them feel unwelcome is only fair. They are the people pushing retailers to cut costs, don’t forget. And they would censor your speech, your books,

Pelosi Delivers Americans Her Poison Bill
merrie
by merrie  9-16-2008    1
This is the only plan that would allow the American taxpayers to receive the full $2.6 trillion in lease payments, royalties and corporate taxes that some estimate will be generated from full exploration of the OCS. But the all-of-the-above plan does not end there. It also opens up the 10.3 billion barrels of oil estimated to be in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. A 2007 study by the University of California estimated that leases and royalties from ANWR would generate $251 billion in government and state revenue — and that was assuming a barrel of oil cost $53. Oil opens at $102 a barrel today. Alternative energy is not ignored either. The Republican plan also attempts to improve energy conservation with tax credits for businesses and families who purchase more fuel-efficient vehicles. Barriers to the revival of the nuclear power industry are removed, and the tax credits for renewable energy (including but not limited to wind, solar and hydrogen) are part of the plan.

Red Primer for Children and Diplomats Part III by Victor Vashi
merrie
by merrie  8-22-2008
Vladimir Lenin, the first leader of the Soviet Union, sought to reclaim all of the areas formerly controlled by the Czars, especially the fertile Ukraine. As a result, four years of chaos and conflict followed in which Ukrainian national troops fought against Lenin's Red Army, and also against Russia's White Army (troops still loyal to the Czar) as well as other invading forces including the Germans and Poles. By 1921, the battles ended with a Soviet victory while the western part of the Ukraine was divided-up among Poland, Romania, and Czechoslovakia. But when Lenin died in 1924, he was succeeded by Joseph Stalin, one of the most ruthless humans ever to hold power. To Stalin, the burgeoning national revival movement and continuing loss of Soviet influence in the Ukraine was completely unacceptable. Beginning in 1929, over 5,000 Ukrainian scholars, scientists, cultural and religious leaders were arrested.... http://www.historyplace.com/worldhistory/genocide/stalin.htm

Russian Offensive in Georgia Jeopardizes Ties With U.S.
merrie
by merrie  8-15-2008    1
Condoleezza Rice rushed to the former Soviet republic with a new cease-fire plan offering concessions to Moscow. The new document would allow Russian peacekeepers who were in the disputed South Ossetia region before the fighting broke out a week ago to stay, and they would now be permitted to patrol in a strip up to six miles outside the area, the officials said. "The United States spent 45 years working very hard to avoid a military confrontation with Russia. I see no reason to change that approach today," Gates said at the Pentagon. Standing alongside, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. James Cartwright, said it appeared Russia was "generally complying" with the truce. But then Georgian leaders said a convoy of more than 100 Russian tanks and other vehicles had moved from the western city of Zugdidi deeper into their nation before stopping. Cartwright had said Russian forces appeared to be forming up in Georgia in preparation for withdrawal.
