U.N. on Israeli War Crimes
citizenbfk
by citizenbfk  11-5-2009    2
The Goldstone Report now has been approved overwhelmingly by the UN General Assembly. The report calls for Israel to investigate it's war crime accusations...and for the Palestinians to investiage theirs -- and says the slow starvation of over a million and half people in the Gaza Strip should stop. Now, it seems it goes to the Security Council. Which means, if things go as usual, the USA will veto it and it will end there. The USA has does similar actions at the UN for decades, protecting Israel, no matter what. The USA House of Congress has even gone on record, this week, opposing this war crimes report. Israel yesterday seized a ship with weapons and said they come from Iran and this was a war crime...also pointing out that Russia, the USA, China, etc. are all guility of war crimes. The conclusion appears to be that war is a war crime. Everybody's guilty. And let's just forget it. ...um, except when talking about the Nazi's of WWII or the Bosnian Serbs curre

Still Afraid Of Russia? Then Support A U.S. Free From Oil Dependency
ericgyoung
by ericgyoung  11-3-2009
I came across this interesting graphic this morning, which visually compares the economies of Russia and the U.S. across 25 categories. In the vast majority of these categories, the U.S., despite economic turmoil, remains a comparative "powerhouse" to Russia. But, take note of a couple of areas in which the U.S. is weakest - oil and natural gas reserves. The "powers that be" know we are weak in these categories vis-a-vis Russia. Ironically, it is often those same "powers that be" that so fervently resist U.S. energy independence. Things that make you go hmmm...

Russia Simulates Nuclear Attack on Poland
bferman

On the 70th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland, Obama canceled the construction of a defense system that was to be based in Poland. Now we know that simultaneously, Russia was simulating nuclear attacks on Poland. It's painfully obvious that Obama has already taken sides in this battle.

Finishing fourth in the men's category was another American, Ryan Hall. Hall, 27, is a rising star on the world running circuit and made headlines last year by running the London marathon in a stunning 2:06:17. Americans once dominated long-distance running, bringing home consecutive gold medals from 1970-82. Marathon legend Bill Rodgers won the New York City four years in a row from 1976 to 1979, and Alberto Salazar took walked away with successive victories from 1980-82. The marathon, which began in 1970 with a mere 127 runners, now hosts 38,000 athletes from around the globe, according to the marathon's Web site. Known for its diverse, punishing terrain, the annual event spans all five of New York's City's boroughs, finishing in the heart of Central Park. Keflezighi and Tulu will each receive $130,000 in prize money.

Russia Reconsiders
debbyski
by debbyski  11-2-2009    2
"There's no question that Stalin is undergoing a sort of renaissance in Russia. Despite the many millions killed or sent to labor camps during his reign, many now view his rule with a sort of hazy nostalgia. "The cynical position of the Stalinphobes is that only innocent people were kept in the gulag," he said. "Criminals who violated the law were kept in the gulag. And let the Western reader ask himself, should criminals be kept in spas or resort hotels?" Meanwhile, Stalin's image and name, systematically bleached out as the waning Soviet empire began to grapple with its bloody past, are creeping back into Russian life. His name was restored this fall to a Moscow metro station. His unmistakable mustached face beams from the wall of Soviet Meatpies, a kitschy diner downtown."

TECHNOLOGY IS NOT THE SIGN OF AN ADVANCED CIVILIZATION...ITS THE SIGN OF A CIVILIZATION ABOUT TO ADVANCE. MAYA HAVE BEEN THROUGH MANY POLE SHIFTS AND ARE PREPARING FOR THE NEXT ONE WHICH THEY SAY (AND CERTAIN SCIENTISTS AGREE) COULD HAPPEN ANY MINUTE...LOOK FOR THE MISSING OF OUR MAGNETOSPHERE. (WATCH PBS NOVA 2003 "MAGNETIC STORM" ON GOOGLE VIDEO FOR *SCIENTIFIC* CONFIRMATION) PLEASE LISTEN TO THE LINK. IT WILL EXPLAIN THE DISCREPENCIES BETWEEN 2012 RUMOUR AND 2012 MAYA TRUTH. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 500 YEARS THAT THE MAYAN COUNCIL HAS SPOKE ON THE "END OF TIME" (BEGINNING OF A NEW CIVILIZATION)
