Blade Runner: Deckard was a Replicant
Andy Greenberg
by Andy Greenberg  10-12-2007
Blade Runner geeks everywhere, the debate is over: Deckard was a replicant. Director Ridley Scott settles the score in an interview with Wired. So much for artistic ambiguity... Lots of other cool stuff in this Q&A as well for Ridleyphiles...

Daily dose of humor
psinexus
by psinexus  10-6-2007
Every year, Hollywood pumps out “historical” epics so distorted, propagandistic and self-serving, you have to wonder just how stupid they think we are.... History is lame. Here are 11 movies that make us glad no one gives a damn about trivial things like “what actually happened.”.. http://www.cracked.com/index.php?name=News&sid=2202

Ridley Scott to Make Monopoly Movie
Caleythia
by Caleythia  8-9-2007    1
Scott was the director of Alien, Gladiator and Hannibal, among others. I wonder how his experience with gritty, serious movies will translate to Monopoly. he claims it will be family friendly. The whole idea i just odd.

In Memory of a Dark Future
ouyangwulong
by ouyangwulong  5-9-2007
All science fiction writers dream of their work slipping into reality, of being described as a visionary. I couldn't call Philip K. Dick a science fiction visionary, since his terrifying visions came not from the future but from within. However, that is the very trait that does make him a literary visionary. It is also perhaps why, of all the writers, his portrayal of the future is the one that resonates deeper within the present with every passing day. He has achieved what all science fiction writers, and even all writers would ever hope for, and charmingly enough, I'm sure he would hate it.
