POPSWhy inclusionary language matters More: You can believe with all your heart that sexism is terrible and evil, but when you call a woman a bitch, it kind of undermines your point. You can think that people with disabilities are oppressed and marginalized by society, and that this is wrong, but when you call something “lame,” you’re saying that you think it’s ok to continue oppressing people with disabilities. When you say that someone should “step up,” you are unconsciously erasing everyone in the population who cannot step, like wheelchair users and people who are bedbound. When you refer to someone or something as “insane” or “crazy,” you are using mental illness as a slur. So stop it. Stop using exclusionary language. Start including people. And stop trying to defend it. If you’re too lazy to find a better word or phrase to use, that’s your problem, not society’s.

POPSDemocrats' Health Tax Will Push Tax Rate Over 50% in 39 States As much as the Democrats love the class warfare stuff, Americans do not live in a class system. You are not stuck in the socio-economic class of your parents. We not only aspire to prosper, the story of America is that we can succeed. We are also driven by an acute sense of fair play. So whether you are in the +50% tax bracket or not, there is something about the government's taking more of people's money than they are allowed to keep that rubs people the wrong way. By the time of the 2010 elections all that rubbing may make things electorally raw for these thieving politicians.

POPSCompany accused of exploiting disabled Just when I thought I had seen it all, I learn that some low-life (Kenneth J. Henry) has been making money off of the labor of mentally challenged individuals and making them live in deplorable conditions and charging them for it. This kind of exploitation really pisses me off. This person has no compassion for his fellow man. How can someone find peace in their life after treating another human being so shabbily?
