POPSFemale Fighters: We Won't Stand for Male Dominance Back in 1998, the fighters say, their now-jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan declared the group "a women's party." It was initially difficult to accept, says Karim, a 42-year-old male member of the PKK. Today, the PKK's ideology revolves around a belief that global crises and injustice are a result of millennia of male-dominated rule. Here, the women run their own assaults and have their own command structure. All tasks are shared, both on and off the battlefield. Discipline is paramount to survival, they say, and weapons are always clean and never out of reach.

POPSCanadian Extremist A stunning example that hate does not borders respect. It is universal. At least some are taking this seriously and beginning an investigation. I'm all for free speech but this goes beyond the limits of even the loosest interpretation.

POPSPagan group in danger of being dissolved Blakemore said PSA focuses more on learning about pagan religions than practicing them. Blakemore admits people might have some misconceptions about PSA, but thinks that even those who do not believe in pagan religions should go to a meeting. "You can come to the group and just check it out," he said. "We're not trying to convert anyone." Blakemore also realizes some people might take issue with the group's existence. "We've had people that have come to try and convert us. Most of the time they leave the group with a greater respect," he said.

POPSOld Man Needs a Nap McCain increasingly seems to be losing touch with reality as he continues to make false statements in light of what most people see as reality. How can a seasoned politician like McCain have such a political tin ear? He seems almost incapable recently of correctly reading the tone and direction of the public.

POPSYankee-Clipper YC3 - clipboard extender YC3 is the "little sister" of YCX- YC3 has a generous subset of features of YCX. (Some people even believe YC3 has all the features they'll ever need.) YC3 is genuine freeware with no nags, no hidden adware or spyware- we guarantee it. We have been approached many times by companies desiring to "bundle" some hidden application with YC3, but we have more respect for our users than that.

POPSAhmadinejad accepts Israel's right to exist Iran's president finally opens himself to the possibility of recognizing Israel's right to exist, and no one reports on it. I am no fan of this bastard, but when he makes threatening statements about Israel, his words make headlines. But when he starts to soften his stance, his words are ignored. Is this because the media is afraid to report anything positive about this man? And who are they afraid of upsetting?

POPSRoger Ebert's Analysis of McCain McCain either thinks he is too good to speak to Obama or has something to hide. I think both are the case. McCain married into money and is simply an Ultra Rich Bitch and now considers himself above the average American. So if in office he will not work for the American people, but for big corporations and the ultra rich. He really should take a lesson from some of the very wealthy in Silicon Valley who do good with their money and treat people of all levels with dignity and respect.

POPSWhy Would Warren Buffett Stoop So Low?
The market still works! With all due respect to Buffett, nobody has yet made a compelling case to me that there is, in fact, a crisis that extends much beyond overleveraged banks with bad business practices. There's a simple fact lost among all of this fearmongering and jawboning about how bad things could get if the government doesn't throw $700 billion (or more) at failing financial institutions. The stock and vulture-capital markets are still generally working, in spite of the cries from politicians and failing speculators to the contrary. The market also has a really good mechanism to help struggling financial companies get money. It's called "price," and it's still functioning. You can see it in action by looking at the one-year CD rates that various banks are offering to entice people to deposit money with them. When the people lobbying the hardest for a bailout are those who stand to benefit from it, you have to ask whether their motives are altruistic or self-serving.

POPS"Should a belief in witchcraft exclude someone from holding high office?"
article continues: Despite whatever you may feel about the moderate adherent of christianity, surely you can agree that witches and general witchery do not exist. Human beings have made some progress over the years, and a portion of that progress is our disbelief in notions like witchcraft and demon possession. In my view, an earnest belief in something so outrageous indicates a defect in one's mental faculties. Accusations of witchery have largely been a political construct. That is not to deny that many people over history have chosen to describe themselves as such, but allegations of congress with the devil and the ability to cast spells on others was merely maneuver of the church accomplish political gains. Most of the victims of this happened to be women of insignificant standing in their community; often they were old and barely lucid, or outcasts due to appearance or behavior. Factoring in primitive attitudes and easily incited citizens looking to blame someone for what were

POPSAnd Then We Will Die If we cannot stand up to illegitimate mortal leaders and take away this power over our lives that no man should ever have, then perhaps we have not yet evolved enough to recognize that life matters and that justice matters and that respect matters and that we all deserve to live in unviolated peace and freedom. And if that is true, then we won't have long to wait. Because these are the most dangerous men in the world and if there is no one willing to stop them we will all witness the consequences. And then we will die.

POPS"Democratic Iraq" promoting Islamic deathsquads against gays Reporter Peter Tatchell- Saddam Hussein was a bloody tyrant. I campaigned against his blood-stained misrule for nearly 30 years. But while Saddam was president, there was certainly no danger of gay people being assassinated in their homes and in the street by religious fanatics. Since his overthrow, the violent persecution of lesbians and gays is much worse. Even children suspected of being gay are abducted and later found shot in the head.
